Just thought that I'd make this a new thread, in case ppl stop checking the original thread...so here goes...changes would me made as info is finalized further...
OK people, here are the official *relatively* details for the competition...
The 2nd GATT AMV competition will be held on January 24th, 2004.
Prizes will be given in the category for overall performance for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, for trophies and/or cash or vouchers...
There will be a limit of 5 amvs per competitor, with the only stipulation being a minimum length of 2 minutes per AMV, and no restrictions as to the content of the song...however for the anime, it will be advised that tasteful nudity may be allowed, but not hentai...
There are going to be 5 categories for this competition...
Action
Comdey
Dramatic/Romance
Viewer's Choice
The AMV Challenge
For the AMV challenge, any competitor can submit an AMV done to an anime that the judges choose...
For this competition, the chosen anime is...
Naruto
Thus, if you do not have the footage, it will be made available as soon as possible to GATT HQ and SnS for competitors ONLY (you will have to recieve permission from the judges before recieving them)...most likely they will be available from the following week from today...
The competition will be using the same criteria for judging as in the previous competition, based upon suitability, impact, direction and editing.
The deadline for ALL entries will be on January 15th, 2004...so you people have more than enough time to get your work finished...
Your entries must be given to any of the judges for the competition before the aforementioned date:
i.e:
SPK (head judge)
Shizz
Lovyan
Papasmurf
Umiiruka...
So that's all for now, more details to be put up later...
So good luck to all the AMV makers out there, let's see your skills for the new year, and get cracking!!!:)8)

Oh one more thing, well u shouldn't have any probs with this, but in the case of one entrant on the last one *coughkayodecough*, please remember to put in some sort of credits to the fact that YOU are the one who made the video....

1) the judges decided the category an anime falls in right? expet of course the challenge..
2) the challange... no restictions on songs correct?
What if one does 5 videos of naruto?

Can you retract a vid that you sumbit? like if you hand up 5 and say you make a real bad one later could you replace the vid before the deadline?

yes you can, ONCE you make the changes BEFORE the deadline, and have it submitted as well before then, that will be NO problem ^_^

yay ppl i was able to complete 1 new AMV. I dunno if i'll be able to make 5 before i leave the country but i'm gonna aim for 3. hopefully i can get the Naruto AMV off the ground next

to be honest i'm never really satisfied with my work untill i get feed back, so right now i don't really think its great :(, so i'll be heading up HQ this afternoon to present it to the GATT community and see what ya'll think
and if i manage to piss of Touya with it, then i know its good :P
