Title: BFG 7950GTOCE and HIS x1950Pro Need Help Deciding

whats up people...I need help choosing one of these cards for my system by monday so i can have it ordered..now i don't intend on buying another gfx card for sometime (till 2009) so i wan't to know which is the best pic..i already checked benchmarks n reviews and they are sorta on par with each other.my first choice was the HIS but i'm kind of paranoid about going with it.thanks in advance

I'd say go with the x1950 pro since i've seen them run very well on today's games. If you're into overclocking, then i'd say go with the 7950gt since it can be overclocked past the factory oc settings to push it over the 1950 performance wise. Most of them (read 1950's) dont have tha ability to overclock very well.

yea i saw that..not into the overclocking scene...i feel more comfortable running everything stock.

Im using an x1950 pro and I really got to say it surpassed my expectations.

if you into stock then go for pro.

if ocin is you thing try the 7950.

but that one you looking at is the 512 version...wicked sick...

One thing i've gotta ask. What is your budget? If you dont plan on buying a video card for some time to come, the best option would be to go with a 320mb 8800gts as i'm sure you can get one for less than $300 us. Think about it...you get one beastly card that wtfpwns any dx9 part and is more 'future proof'. I dont know if you heard, but the 8800gts's will remain the mid high end flagship for some time to come (at least until around February/March next year.) I'll strongly suggest going that route.
