Allyuh have any details on this..all i know is the high end price going to
15mbps for $689.99
-
that sounds uber enticing...
-
Even is its true...$700 a month is beyone most people's reach. Corporate, definately.
-
i hear is 20mb fuh $700, but i doubt you will get those speed anytime soon, since flow 6mb acting like tstt 256k on a regular.
-
Today Flow hold a Press Conference to announce completion off the Fiber and thats where that price came from
i hear is 20mb fuh $700, but i doubt you will get those speed anytime soon, since flow 6mb acting like tstt 256k on a regular.
since they would no longer be needing tstt wouldn't it be more reliable?
-
so does this mean the 'talk' service will be on its way soon? hopefully the didgital cable will get a overhaul as well, cuz imo the way it is now, its not anything special. i coulda well stick with my 63 ( :D ) channels, and organise a 'deal' that would give me a lil 'discount' ;)
-
Any word if they upgrading the 2mbs package soon?
-
I doubt any package update will happen this year as the ACROS is not fully functional.
-
Whatever....they must have some TSTT workers on this board.
Read it and weap...http://www.guardian.co.tt/business3.html
Thus far my 6mbit has been blazing...15 will be sweet@!
-
Internet users now have a choice of cheap bandwidth. Cable company Flow yesterday announced that it would offer a 20-hour 2 mbps package at $69.99.
That’s $9 cheaper than TSTT’s blink offering, which is $79, as both companies head to a price war.
Who in they right mind would take a 20hour package to save TT$9.00?
I mean, sure, it faster but what sense that make?
That is like having a fast car with a full tank and a faster car with a tank on 1/4.
And to boot they making it sound like a boast.
That TT$9.00 cyar even buy milk!
rest ah it i could say a nice hearty F@#$ you TSTT to though.
Thus far my 6mbit has been blazing...15 will be sweet@!
fuh real my cuz 2mbit killing me,so i could imagine, bastard download/play/finish bioshock demo in the same night i tell im bout it and was like...'yeah? and?'
hoss guardian moving with CoP??? :S
-
how do you cancel the blink subscription
-
Wheyyy, that made my day was plannin to get the 6mbit, but now I can get 15.
Hopefully they make it up Arima side before Jan.
-
how do you cancel the blink subscription
call and say "F@#$ U TSTT!!!"
but seriously, just call, if you under contract it might have some 'bumps' though
-
what if it has not been processed yet
-
People i would call and cancel if you signed up on a new contract. Pay the higher price for a no contract service. Flow will reach you sooner than later, and chances are they may reach before ADSL2 is even running in your area.
-
i think TSTT should back-pedal their ADSL2 + plans... cuz ever since that $h!t started, my net has been FLAKEY!!
-
I love flow now for going to upgrade the net now i will be getting 6mbs.BOSSS
-
Meanwhile TSTT reaaaaaallll struggling to supply their customers with measley 256k. 256k you know!!!! TSTT cyah even do THAT right. My lord.

Tstt can't even give me my full bandwidth with dial up

TSTT's bandwidth is fine , its the DNS servers and other infrastructure playing up , some sites will give you the full 32k/bs , some torrents to, others disconnect randomly or move slow .
-
yea, and usually i have to hit refresh JUS to get Google to load :S
-
Scew tstt get flow guys.
-
One time I couldn't access any site at all. I went into Network Connections and saw that my "lan/high speed" connection was disabled. Confused because I did not disable it, I right clicked and selected enable. After 10 mins of attempting to enable a message popped up giving an excuse for not enabling.
Then when I closed the message, the "lan/high speed" connection disappeared before my eyes! I mean the icon disappeared. I thought it was refreshing or something but it was not reappearing at all.
I decided to restart the system and, thanks heavens, the connection mysteriously returned...and the net started back to work.
^ Just one of my recent experiences with TSTT DSL :]
-
One benefit of Flow hooking up the ARCOS network : Lower pings.
Even now according to the people on flow , pings are still 100ms or so as traffic is still going through TSTT, once flow re routes everything through their ARCOS links , we should see pings as low as 60ms. ...
I'v seen 60ms on TSTT DSL on a game server on the US east coast around midnight... so it is possible with a good connection .
Also , with 1mbit and 2mbit uploads soon to be the norm , we can usher in a golden age of local gaming . Local servers for all , low pings on Xbox live , high bandwidth ....
If only we could teach the criminals to use gamepads and not guns , life would be grand .
-
well my avg ping is around 140ms with flow even low sometimes
-
60ms is godly!
-
60ms is godly!
Yea but at least flow works more often than tstt.
-
ok guys....I not so informed about dns stuff....
But with all these changes going on right now...
Here's the sitch...I usually download video podcasts from iTunes...
G4 segments, the daily feed etc...
I usually download at roughly 100kb/s so i get a 30mb video in less than 10mins....
But since all this blink stuff etc... my podcasts will start to download.... show rediculous 3-4hrs remaining...then time out..and download fails...
but then other podcasts other than g4, download perfectly fine at full speeds....
EDIT - Apparently g4 servers messing up as many other people have same prob...
This is also acting up when I try to download game updates on my ps3...
Also very often i'll enter a web address..then receive an error...then when i refresh it...it loads immediately...
Can this be related to that DNS thing ya'll talking bout?
and what should I do to resolve this?
-
Do Not Study it
lol idk bout tstt but the same thing used to happen with flow...can't say if it still does, but it used to cause a nice lil headache havin to reset the modem after a whole set of retries n sh!t
-
yea..i find myself restting the modem alot these days.....

Tstt's DNS servers are messing up. Somehow everyone else but them have realized this. Even other ISPs have picked up on it, because alot of the old fogies IT guys only use TSTT's DNS Servers no matter which ISP their client is going through.
How many of you guys have called in though, i know someone who called in and their tech put her on hold, came back on the line and told her he ain't seeing anything wrong with her link. When she got off the phone, everything working back to normal. Call in and see if these guys admit anything about DNS not resolving properly.

Isn't 10Mbps their max offering?
How you pulling 17?
or you experiencing speed burst of some sort?
-
(http://www.speedtest.net/result/213802889.png)
And that only cost $186 a month
SUCK ON THAT TSTT
