But you don't get anything stand out... Only common pretty cases..
Unless you luckily stroll into a place with something new...

Note that the prices in Real PCs suck. Don't know about Cases but they sell old stuff for ridiculous prices.

Diamond Systems had some of the best cases in all the stores i checked and the prices were ok. Bought one from them.

Yes it's a pretty cool case, i managed to arrange most of the wires so that i can get a clear view of the mobo. i'm just waiting on my gfx card b4 i can fire it up. :violent5:
that and i need some thermal compound.

Hmm I now checking this meng have my case... well not quite, mine has the window but yeah... it's a decent case although I still would prefer a Lian Li... and I eh settle for no peepsqueek 400W PSU, 700W OCZ GamerX ftw!

yeah, wished i could have gotten the one with the window now that would have been nice. i changed the psu out though to a 750W toughpower.

yeah, its no arctic silver, but it's better than the stock stuff, use it sparingly, only need enough to thinly cover the surface of the cpu package, use about a 1/5th of the package and a phone card to spread it.

man a week, small thing, 'will' it out, the silver is much better
that stuff you may have to look into electrical/electronic hobby sites to find a review (if any) for, it was made to be used for transistors (high power switching and amplifying mosfets) if you ever seen inside a pwr supply is the big 3 pin black package with a bolt attaching it to a heat sink.
you think a CPU does give heat, man i touched one of those in class a time, and nearly get my finger bun off

A noob to the site but not a noob to gaming. I'm mainly a PC gamer from since the good ole commodore days(no I'm not an old man I'm 23 lol). I didn't even know there was a forum for T&T gamers. This is sweet and hope to become a part of the family.

Thanks for the welcome. I found out about this forum from Chinarakinda. And well shotology got me on xfire to start playin cod4 lol.
Right now my HDD is too small to put on all the games I have but I'm trying to finish up NFS carbon, FEAR, Unreal Tournament 3 and Gears Of War.I Have C&C3 but haven't really played it much yet.
Other games I have are DIRT, Half Life 2 episode 2(beat 1 already), NFSMW, NFS Pro Street,Warcraft 3 + Frozen throne(never tried em online after I beat em), Age of empires 3 and a bit more I can't rem right now lol.
Have some other games still to install and give a try but due to my tiny 80 gig HDD I am pressed for space. Guess it sucks to be in uni and not working as yet but oh well :[

Yeah boy, 80gb = nothing nowadays.
I've got over a terrabyte at home and it's bursting at the seams. Just ordered a 500gb to add to the mix.
Good selection of games you got there.
I've been spending more time on the Wii of recent (Smash Brothers Brawl for the epic win) but gonna wade into CoD 4 hard core in April, God willing.

Yeah well growing up on dial-up kinda makes you stay with single player games. I only played Starcraft online but really started the online gaming thing this year with cod4 since I got a 2MB connection. I'm liking the online gaming, it makes it alot more fun.
I intend to get my hands on a 320gig SATA drive and nothing less. I have a external WD passport 150gig usb HDD that is taking the weight but is quickly becoming filled. Man I need some dual layer DVDs to burn off these HUGE games lol.
I intend to get myself an xbox 360 when I manage to find myself a job on completing school this year. I love xbox live and the console bug bit me after getting my hands on my bro's ps2 and Chinarakinda's xbox 360 :ph34r:
I've read the rules(man there are alot) but I have a boat load of work to finish up to put the stamp on this semester before finals in about two weeks. I'm drained and tired but I'll be digging through the forums when I get some rest Sat.
Till then I shall be lurking in the murky depths of the internet :happy0203:

My wild guess is I am not on the contributor list (stats) as yet, cause client has to finish to work on the WU and submit to the server, then I will appear aaah. But I am guessing, cause I didn't read the whole ting. I will also add another PC soon.
I liked the project so I joined it yesterday, installed the soft, read couple articles. I have tonnes of questions about it at this time, but I don't like to ask without reading FAQs. I also like www.wikimapia.org (contribute there also) not sure if anyone from de forum is using it. It's like Google Earth, but you don't need to download anything.

We have a few here but no where near the ridiculous number of actual wow players in trinidad.

I'm a more third person action/adventure/ survival horror/fps kinda gamer.. i really enjoyed the CRYSIS series (though my rig at the time couldn't push it on even medium settings).. You know the usual... hitting a man 5 times with a weapon and he ent dead only to have him turn around and hit you two and you dead. General issues like that.
I have other online multiplayer games but their server options are automatic (Far Cry 2, Fuel, NFSHP etc.) I am more into the FPS genre, but I am an all rounder... Couldn't find any servers on the forums. So if there are, any info would be appreciated.

We have a pretty strong pc presence here, i'd say neck and neck with the consoles.
We communicate primarily through Mumble (http://www.carigamers.com/cms/forums/index.php/topic,19486.0.html), a voice chat system similar to Ventrilo and others. There's almost always activity in there, especially in the evening - night period. Be sure to set it up and join us anytime!
We play a variety of games, one of the main ones being Battlefield Bad Company 2. Get it!!! If you have not already done do, I recommend you get and install Steam (http://www.carigamers.com/cms/forums/index.php/topic,16531.0.html), an online digital game distribution service. We ALL use it.

Ok cool, I know you all used the Ventrilo before. I don't know about the mumble. Will give it a try.
I find that games comping out fairly rapdily. BF:BC and BF3; COD:BO and COD:MW3.
It's like they had all the ability to put out a bes' game up front but they making small halfway releases in between now. Is just stictly money now. Give me more value for money if I have to spend it so frequently nah... expecially when they want us to buy originals

I hear you and agree completely but its a mistake to put Battlefield in the same bracket as COD. Believe me. Battlefield is one of the most awesome fps's out today. As a FPS fan, you are doing yourself a dis-service by missing out on this.

It wasn't really my intention to compare the titles themseleves, merely the similar business practice.... I mean BF3's graphics look very crisp with some good lighting effects, movements, physics in general, destructive enironments look nice. I suppose the textures also play a big part as well, but the engine itself seems nice.
The other engine I want to see is the Far Cry 3 engine. I heard that it is ridiculous in terms of how it looks. I also suspect the environment you are in plays a part too. FarCry2 is very nice overall in terms of looks but I was still a little disappointed in the the lighting and textures. It just seemed to be lacking that little extra something to make it feel real. Anyways...
Yeah I did the install there. I like it man. Nice and simple. I like also that its from sourceforge man. Didn't know there was a freeware type of client like this. It would be interesting to check out the Murmur Server side software though and see how it runs.
Just one question though, with regards to the certificate that they are asking about. It says that you should create one for your own encryption. Greetings and Salutations to our fair establishment of a forum =D. Hope to get into some games with you. TF2 seems to be fun enough that i'll play it a little more often.
To help u with that mumble problem, that error you got should not have popped. Make sure you aren't using the Backwards Compatible client, that simply just doesnt work. If thats not the case, delete the cert and try again (it should be in My Documents). If that doesnt work either, create a new one.
Open Mumble > Configure > Certificate Wizard > Create a new certificate > *Enter desired mumble user name > Finish.

That is normal since we are using a self signed certificate and not a commercial certificate on the GATT server where the mumble server (called "murmur.x86") is running.
Nothing to worry about.
Maybe sometime in the future when we have extra $$, we'll buy a commercial certificate so users won't have to worry about that prompt.

Thats quite the arsenal of games u got there. Both consoles will give u generic as well as unique experiences. End of the day jus have fun with it. But GATT's Xbox community is much larger than the PSN community from what i've seen. But go strong and enjoy your recreation whichever way YOU choose to.

And I'm a Gears of War VG. And I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a gaming association in Trinidad (thanks to trini wyatt). Because I've been a member of the G.O.W. official forum and have not come across 1 trini. I have come across 2 while playing Gears and they are on my friends list.
Gears is my game and not much else and I can't wait for 3 to come out.........

Just signed into the forums of this site, it's my first time being here, so I hope you'll be nice to me. I'm a 30 year old gamer and I've been a native Trinidadian since I was born, and I hail from Diego Martin. Gaming has been one of my favorite hobbies since I was nine from the Nintendo days, now I'm a PS3 owner with a fair amount of games for over a year and already a level 12. And yeah, I like to trophy hunt in various games and go for the platinum in some of them except for the really hard ones, though I'm slowly doing what I can to get close.
I mostly play fighters and adventures, anything decent and I'm a fairly decent trophy hunter. My most favorite game of all time is Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition back on the PS2, I'm a beast with Vergil and his Jump Cancelling combos with Yamato. I'm so hyped for the DMC HD Collection due in Feburary 2012.
I hope to get some good friends while I'm on this site, if there's anything else you'd like to ask about me, go on ahead.

I'm into a lot of different types of games. Probably only sports games are the only ones I don't spend time on.
PLayed stuff like, Vanquish, Lost Planet 2, Killzone , Final Fantasy 13, Mortal Kombat, KoF 13, Saints Row, Dragon Age......god there are so much lol!
On Pc though, I've started the Darkness 2 and Alan Wake. Don't have the time to enjoy Skyrim though I have it and I beat out Starcraft 2 campaign, not good at the competitive side of SC tho.

hello. seecarr11 here. im back after a few years without a pc build. still game from time to time but just not as part of the "pc master race". back then my pc was one of the first on here to crack 12k on 3dmark06, the red team had cpus that truly competed against the blue and there was no vat (and customs duty?) on computer parts... fun times indeed. :crybaby2:
just so happens amd is relevant again. quite a coincidence. :awesome: So im thinking im going to try a threadripper build in the near future, using my old cm stacker case that i had in storage. Depends on the budget.
Anyway, just saying hi. and i liked the booth GATT had at the expo this weekend. great stuff :happy0203:

Ayyyy, welcome back man.
I'm eyeing that Threadripper 1900X myself. AMD need to slash da price by at least 80 to 100 US before I'd seriously consider jumping on it though.
