I can spectate other matches fine and bet and what not.

Yea, actually Woodyear was able to play an online match last night with strangers...so I have no problem, might be your Internet connection.

For real horse, i can't find a single person in anyone mode.
I mean i registered this guy from another forum, but he didn't register me, so de next ting i know i searchin for a random person and it actually worked, but just ONE person, and guess who that person trned out to be, that same guy who i registered who didn't register me, wanna know how i know it was him? You know on the friends list how it shows a coloured dot representing the connection quality? it just appeared on his "waiting for registration" name, and i was like "what?" cuz what are the odds of the one person i find randomly it was him....
But for the most part i love this game, online random is a stomach gripe, but everything down to the OPTIONS is fun to interact with... yeah i know that was off topic but wtf...
I feel us Trinis will always have this f**k in the @$$ problem... and to think i using blink connection too... but no dice :protest:
But i lovin the friend matches, it rulez, the lag doh relly be a prob for me, yuh juss hadda know how to play with it.

lol, we are no strangers to NAT and DMZ I'm afraid.
NAT and Firewalls are the bane of online gaming.
Not to mention lag and disconnects. Thankfully DSL, BLink and Flow make those less and less of an issue.
The other two remain our nemeses.
Good luck with that. Just hope no one develops a hack for Wiis and pwns your DMZ exposed console in the future.

lol not entirely true, my ps3 acts up sometimes but my xbox360 works fine online when playing with friends, the wii however i do have issues with still.. i can spectate or join friends that create a game of vice-versa, however i can't join random battles for some reason. i have tried setting up the way described from "Centralpimp" link but no luck for now. When i did however connect to my friends game there was lag... roughly 1/2 second lag which is pretty bad anyway. i just assume its the time i was in the battle for was around prime time.

Ah sorry, should have specified. I'm on a campus usin the school's hi-speed and they blocked it. If that still applies to the 360's, I'll pass on that info.

yea to me it laggs a bit but later on in the battle it gues good..near perfect for me...well wen battling with ppl in tirnidad or close to...its all really according to who u conect too..trinidad sucks for that..hardly any international server close to we...

It's WFC servers, they're overloaded and nintendo hasn't gotten around to fixing the problem yet, give it some time, anyway, there is a seperate thread for brawl discussions, leave this open for wii numbers and friend codes pleaaaassee.

umm wen playing against ppl in trinidad..the lag is like a 1/4 sec off..but wen fighting against other ppl outta the country..its a lil more lag..i dunnop i jsut get used to it..nun we cud do...we live in trindad after all..no servers close by

Oh and just to confirm, I can't seem to get "random" games to work anymore. Must have been a fluke before or something. Now only friend code matches are working. Even followed the steps in Central Pimps link, putting the Wii on a DMZ, still salt.
They probably black list Trinidad IPs from the service. lol.
Can spectate games fine, but those aren't live. They are actually replays downloaded to the Wii, so that doesn't really count as online at all. Notice how smooth they run, zero lag at all.

yea i never got onto random battle..my fren away he gets it normal he says..so i think trinidad getting ignored again like for the wii shop channel..for we to use that i remember we hadda tell teh wii that we in united states...hmm trini ppl always get the short end of the bamboo...

I saw two guys add me online. While in game, they joined and I saw a message saying "user requests registration" right where the Player 1/2/3/4 slot would be.
Think their names were Gre and Glen. I clicked OK, lo and behold, they were added to my friend list, sans all the friend code bidness.
Two questions....
1) how de mc did they do that??
2) Anyone know these peeps?

Things would be sooooo much easier if you could just check on Nintendo's website to see the Online status of your friends, YOU KNOW like Xbox live!! COME NAH NINTENDO!! COME BETTER THAN THAT!!

Although i agree with you completely, for now we should add each other on MSN - we could organize sweat on MSN, and we could use SKYPE for voice communication - since it can host one chat room for multiple ppl, and the audio quality is better.
But it f**king sucks how we cyah even send game invites... ohhh how i wish there was some way our suggestions can reach nintendo.

In addition to all the missing content that is missing from brawl's online; well... we have another flaw. You see, sometimes when you add someone, they say they've added u - which maybe true... but for some reason the data does NOT exchange between the 2 persons. I dunno why this happens but it does, and sometimes you wait there for days looking at a "Awaiting Registration" text hoping that the person hurry TF up and add you... but what you don't know is that they're thinking the exact same thing, then you're forced to contact them and then u find out that they registered you already, but they ain't appearing... iz like the data isn't being transferred over the busy servers, which forces you to either delete the person then re-add them, or keep signing in and out while both ppl are online.
Example: I added Shivadee a few seconds after he added me ( i think), but on both sides it says awaiting registration... which was puzzling, so i signed out then in about FIVE freakin times before i asked him to do the same...
* 2 minutes passed* FINALLY! he finally appears on my friend roster. ( note that both were online )
And then there's Noob... i was thinking he didn't register me... but then i joined Centralpimp's game and in the 3rd slot it says "Friend registration requested", then before i could respond, it says "unable to register", i was like "wtf", wen i was done, i headed back to my friend roster.., then woop-tee-doo Noob finally appears...

I can't remember it, cuz it doesn't show up after the registration has been confirmed, i not sure why he didn't post his own yet, but adding everyone will probably take up time he doesn't have - a busy person he is.

lol @ no time to post his code. Yeah, we are all pretty busy. I can manage a couple hours a week to scrap online. Hopefully Shiv can do the same and get in on the action at some point.

Just an assumption, i don't know for sure, but that's what it looks like - multiple projects, classes, a time consuming job, I can't speak for him, but i know he's pretty busy, and i don't relly like to pressure people when i understand their situations.

Well... i dere mining my own business... using the laptop like usual... when suddenly... "Put the computer back in meh room please!"... in an attempt to untangle the laptop power adapter from the GC controller which i was using to play brawl... well...the wii fell in an awkward near-horizontal position...i heard a funny noise.... a text appeared on screen stating that the wii couldn't read the disc... i removed the disc only to find a scratch running almost at the edge, around the disc like a track...in a desperate attempt, i called Spartan (Neospartan from GATT... not the fictional master chief), and we used his disc cleaner/repair thingy... guess what.....the disc worked (before, it was completely inoperatable), but to my horrow and extreme anguish, did i find out that certain parts of the game were UNREADABLE from the f*cking disc... This was when i began to swear under my breath...now at the hour of 20 mins to 8... i sit here writing my story as a reply to Kaguya's post.
To NoobGoneWild: Huh? that better not be yours, i dare not leave a fellow brawler...brawl-less.
Now, before i decide to get a new one... im gonna try a number of methods, including the banana method...courtesy of Shiv (THANKS!!!!)
