Title: Woman promoting peace found murdered.
Post by: New Era Outlaw on April 13, 2008, 09:31:24 AM
Quote
An Italian woman artist who was hitch-hiking to the Middle East dressed as a bride to promote world peace has been found murdered in Turkey.

The naked body of Giuseppina Pasqualino di Marineo, 33, known as Pippa Bacca, was found in bushes near the city of Gebze on Friday.

She had said she wanted to show that she could put her trust in the kindness of local people.

I -hate- to hear how people question how low the human race has 'sunk'. It's -always- been at these abysmal depths!

Humans have always been animals. Media is just making us aware of it all.

sunk? lol.. man brutality to this level has always existed. Some people are too innocent to what actually happens or could happen. Unfortunate for this woman yes, but naivety i say is to blame for her death.

This is surprising? I'd say in general we're better now than we ever were at any point in history, and we're still bad.
She was naive to do that to be honest though she obviously didn't deserve her fate.

Ignorance, failure and individual differences will always prevail over the right ideas...

A snippet from her wiki:

"Her body, described as "naked and decomposing" by All Headline News, was found in bushes in the city of Gebze. A man who led the police to her body, identified as Murat Karataş by AHN, was detained and according to some sources, later arrested after reportedly confessing to raping and killing Bacca"

Way to go humanity.

Maybe so, but ask yourself this- does it make this turn of events any less disturbing or tragic?
Naive she might be, but at least she tried something to say 'Give peace a chance.'
Which is more than I can say for a lot of people right now.

Ignorance, failure and individual differences will always prevail over the right ideas...

Sad, but true.

Rhetorical questions....have you heard of them?

Less disturbing? Yes. Less Tragic? No.

Her statement was bold, compassionate, brave.

Her death? Cold, unintimate, vain.

She stood for something and, as it seems, wasn't even crushed by those opposed...

...but by one who hungered with unmitigated humanity and savagery.

She's dead now. You'll forget her soon.
