New Information on Kennewick Murder Suspect
2:19

KENNEWICK, Wash-- The suspect who cut a baby out of a woman's womb and murdered her will be arraigned tomorrow.

Last Friday twenty-three year-old, Phiengchai Sisouvanh, was arrested and is charged with first degree murder for fatally stabbing Pasco resident, Araceli Camacho Gomez, and cutting her baby boy out of her womb.

Kennewick detectives said Sisouvanh told her husband she was pregnant and about to have a baby. She also told friends she was three weeks away from giving birth.

"She told me 'guess what I'm nine months pregnant' and I was like congratulations," said a friend of Sisouvanh.

Sisouvanh works at a local nursing home and had a Nursing Assistant Certificate from 2005 to 2007, which is now expired. She graduated from Southridge High School in 2004 and lived on West 5th St. in Kennewick with her parents and her husband.

"They kept to their own-selves and didn't do anything wrong," said a neighbor who has an in-home childcare center.

The neighbor only spoke to Sisouvanh once, but she wanted to know prices for hourly childcare.

"She came over and asked me about what ages I took care of and how much it would cost for an infant or a one year old," said the neighbor.

We also learned that Sisouvanh attended the Lao Buddhist Temple in Kennewick and told friends at the temple she was expecting a baby.
Sisouvahn and her family are known by several Laotians living in Kennewick and are active at the Buddhist Temple.

Detectives said they are not pursuing Sisouvanh's husband, Keun Synhavong, as a suspect, but at this time they do not no where he is.

This person needs to live LONG... like 100 yrs LONG so that life, pain and HARD labour can give them PLENTY of time for the conscience to take its toll... OMG....

how ironic would it be for Ms Sisouvanh to get stabbed in prison.

My best friend is due to give birth in just over a week's time and I cringe to think that someone could actually did that to her.

Whatever happened to just tiefing the baby after it is born? Adoption? Invitro fertiliztion? You wanted a baby so badly you had to take it out of the womb yourself? Are you infertile?

Sick and sad indeed.

The punishment? this is one time I will actually leave that to GOD, as opposed to desiring to administer justice myself...

It is noted that the husband is MIA since this happened.

Well clearly you couldn't be in a 'normal' state of mind to commit such an attrocity....
