...an 'external' video-card PSU.

Yes, really.

Check it out (http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/fsp_group_booster_x5_450_watt_dedicated_videocard_power_supply/)...

Hmmmm...considering that your average midrange to high end video card is the major power consumer in any system, i'd say this is a hell of a good idea, especially for those with lower end power supplies. Hell, I may even consider one just because of the price alone. That way, i'll probably never have to upgrade my regular power supply for a lonnngggg time.

yepps saw this like in august and well i thought it was cool but the price was a bit too high for me at the time other wise i'd have that baby powering my 8800  GT right now hehe.... and the power's clean and steady. acuallly it fits into a 5 1/2 bay slot in the case so it's internal... just supplementary to the main psu.

Very nice.

I do recell seeing an internal one to it...by Thermaltake I think.

This would go PERFECTLY with my shuttle and it's 250W PSU

Then again, I wouldn't mind a floppy drive sized version....
