GATT Voice Chat allows you to communicate with your fellow gaming brethren.

Great for team coordination in online games and general banter.
As close to the lan party glory days of old as you can get.
Here is the skinny on connecting to Voice Chat:
1) Install the mumble client
Download it here: https://www.mumble.com/mumble-download.php
2) Click on Server -> Connect. Then click on "Add New" (See image below)

3) Enter the following information:
server name: carigamers.com
server address: www.carigamers.com (http://www.carigamers.com)
default port: 64738
Username: Place your callsign, nickname, whatever in this box (For Example: MadPhilip)
4) Connect!

What: Configuring mumble to use "Push to Talk"
Why: This allows a soldier to speak when pushing a key, greatly reducing chatter and distractions from crosstalk while increasing focus. Prevents feedback as well
How:
Step 1) Use to "Push to Talk" mode to Transmit:
Configure -> Settings -> Audio Input

WTH mumble been acting up the last few day every now and then you can't hear anyone or no 1 can hear you happen 2 times last nite

Server was probably doing backups at the time. Worked fine tonight
keep an eye on it and let us know if it continues

For some reason i can't join de gatt mumble but can join other mumbles yes ,hope the problem will go away 2morrow

Same prob happened to me tonight and then when I try to connect it saying wrong password, when I changed my name I signed in fine...
Seems like my name Redfish hadda be removed from the mumble server so I can get it back and my advice to everyone is to not authenticate your name, so that you won't get shutout in the even you do a reinstall or something......

yea I have tremendous issues logging in, especially at peak hours. had the same error as redfish as well and had to change my name after I did a format.

Yeah, an admin can delete your account so you can log in with your old name again. I've seen that happen before.

Usually happens if you re-install windows or otherwise inadvertently lose your original certificate.

Indeed Mumble uses secure certificates to authenticate users....

Making a backup of your certificate will make things go alot smoother the next time you do a format or reinstall.....real easy to do too.

yeah, backup of the certification is supposed to prevent this.

Disabling certs would be a bad idea. We just need to delete the users who didn't back up their certificate and let them rejoin.
We have more than enough admins/mods to keep on top of that task.
also, flow should be testing the new server today. Will keep you posted on that

If anyone was thinking of updating to version 1.2.3 rc2 go ahead just install it over version 1.2.2 .
It has a new overlay that to can edit yourself and a fps counter

I took the liberty of sorting the Mumble channels a little more. They are now categorized according to genre.
The MWS channel is on top followed by the Staff and Tech Support channels.
Remember to click on the tabs to open the various channel and subgroups.

Due to a certificate issue, (Public CA issued certificate issued to the program's writer (not the certificate generated on user's machines) expires on the 15th January 2012), the clients that we all have installed would no longer work. You will get a 'referral' error on startup.
See this link (http://blog.mumble.info/) for more information and a dl link for an updated client that would work for the hour. (seems to be a workaround until the real issue is fixed).
Heads up: You do NOT need to uninstall your existing version of mumble. Download the zip from the above link and copy and paste the exe to your existing install directory.

I only got the error when I closed mumble and tried to reconnect
Using the updated file Awesome posted earlier fixed it for me.
Connected again like normal after that.

hmm. try updating to make sure you have the latest version.
Also, try changing your name.
For Example, from "OldSkillful" to "OldSkillful-Test"

I have to say, I'm def not a fan of Teamspeak. It has been down more than up and cause of that when it is up, people not on.

Yeah, the team speak server was just for testing.
While it scored big points for ease of use and administration, they took a decision to discontinue the free mobile client and replaced it with a commercial app.
They also changed their policy and added some stringent measures for us to qualify for a 2014 licence. Effectively making it prohibitively difficult to renew.
As a result, we will be creating a new mumble server shortly to serve as the official GATT Voice Chat service. Stay tuned.

Well Mumble was working fine..till yesterday it stopped, getting connection refused again.

Server rebooted. Will check it out when I am back in office.

Hey guys i recently installed windows 8 on my pc....(kindah regretting it now) reinstalled mumble but they telling me that the certificate is wrong and i need a password to access help out a lil Architect for the holidays please :D
