Epic games has released some lengthy new gameplay footage of its upcoming fps, Bulletstorm, due Feb 22, 2011 for the Xbox 360, PC and PS3. Cliffy B, senior designer at Epic games, takes us through the incredible vistas, explaining key gameplay mechanics and the new skillshot system which contribute to the factors that differentiates Bulletstorm from current gen first person shooters. The skillshot system which gives players incentives for scoring creative kills seems like an interesting and unique prospect for players trying out different ways of killing enemies.
One interesting skillshot that stood out for us is the "FIRE IN THE HOLE" skillshot for cleansing enemy A holes with lead. You have to see it to believe it.

saw this on e3 xplay . Great gaming idea , good rewards for skilled kills. Lots of creativity and tricks. Hoping the multiplay lives up to the hype. If they do this right , the multiplay will be the most insane fps multiplayer experience in terms of sheer fun

i was following bulletstorm since e3 lol, but i juss saw this updated gameplay from gamecon and decided to post, did ah quick search for bulletstorm and nothing came up, so i juss make ah thread lolol.
And yes, starcraft 2 is d new fix, but bulletstorm looking mad, this and rage lookin like 2 wicked games.

steups @ only co-op. Was hoping for a proper, all out, insane multiplayer experience with this.

Soooo who ran the demo?
Definitely one of the shortest demos in history. Controls are extremely precise (on Ps3)
Gameplay is really fun, intense and ultraviolent (keep kids farrr away from this one)
But it didn't grab me, and give me the "OMG must own vibe" felt a lil gimmicky and very similar to an old game called Painkiller. not bad at all just not a must get. But well it was just a demo. a very short one at that.

I agree with Berzerk - controls are good, gameplay fun and over-violent but nothing that would warrant a buy.
Also while the polygon count seems high, on the PS3 there appears to be a bunch of low res textures.

What highscore did you guys manage to get so far?
I enjoyed it. Twas just crazy fun, and had a lot of replay value.
I can't judge if it's worth buying from a section of the game that's only supposed to take 6mins to complete though. Will wait for reviews to see how much more the full game offers.

Unfortunately I can't. My 360 RROD a long time now and I never replaced because most of the games I want to play are on PS3 or PC. Gears of War 3 may change my mind.

Ok, I played the demo on the PS3 and adrenaline is the name of the game lol. Real hype.
Looking good, a nice time waster. Not worth a $50 purchase though.
I'll do the trini trial for pc till it comes cheap then maybe ill buy it.
Still, I wanna compare graphics with the 360 since I find the ps3 version look reall good (you know, as good as one can expect from a console).
Will report back when I do.

Played it myself, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the hype suggested I should. Not sure if it's the game itself, or the fact that I've become slightly jaded as I've gotten older.
Still...pulling foes in and planting a size 12 was strangely satisfying, especially when you end up kicking em into the electrical panels.
This looks like one of those games that are best enjoyed co-op style,
but I still haven't seen anything that really sucked me in and guaranteed a purchase.
I respect that Cliffy B et al worked hard on this game, but I can't escape the sinking feeling that it's primary reason for existence is to tide us over till Gears Of War 3 drops.

Juss give d first 2-3 stages ah run. At first ill have to admit, i was underwhelmed.
Din seem dat good, and d mouse was operating shitty. When zerk first told me bout d mouse din belive it but i experience it mehself. Quickly found d solution to why d mouse operating so, AA, disabled that, and everything was normal, so i eh know wahs dat one, but taking AA off make d mouse work like normal.
D futher i get, d more i liking d game, its fast!, action packed, and d vistas look really good, when u make it outside. And d game slowly gets more and more satisfying, it nice.
I could see myself FREAKING dis in coop. But d sp getting better and better d futher ah go. Somethign Like Transformers War for Cyber, din seem dat impressive at first, but as u reach futher it pickup. And coop rel bring out dat formers. And shud do for this as well.

This game was EPIC! (pun intended) :P
Played through this last week in 2hr sessions a day, took 5 days to complete on Hard difficulty. I gonna give it another run on very hard but damn.......all the ways to kill in this game it is amazing. Also you can consume alco in the game and get points for shooting while intoxicated ^_^
The developer "People Can Fly" started the Painkiller series. No wonder I enjoyed this so much.
Looking forward for a sequel.
