Beck, a young program who becomes the unlikely leader of a revolution inside the computer world of The Grid. His mission is to free his home and friends from the reign of the villainous Clu 2 and his henchman General Tesler. Beck will be trained by Tron – the greatest warrior the Grid has ever known. Tron will not only teach Beck the fighting skills he needs to challenge this brutal military occupation, but will be a guide and mentor to him as he grows beyond his youthful, impulsive nature into a courageous, powerful leader. Destined to become the new protector of the system, Beck adopts Tron’s persona and becomes the archenemy of Tesler and his oppressive forces.

Episodes 8, 9, and 10 have aired to complete Season 1 of this surprisingly stunning lil series.
I hope the ratings were good enough to garner another season.

Got DAMN!
This is one the most epic animated series I have ever seen.
Gripping. Gruesome.
Very intelligent script.
Some big names as voice actors, namely:
Lance Henrikson of Aliens fame (any sci fi fan should know this name and shiver in its wake)
Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica)
Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings) Man does he put in work here.
I can't believe Disney put this out.
The sound track is edgy and sci fi bliss. Put to very good use in setting the vibe for this digital romp.
Well played, well played.
Not one to be missed people.
It on the level of Batman The Animated Series and Avatar (Three Books + Korra). Kid you not.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1812523/
IMDB Has it scored as 8 out of 10 at present. Me? I'll give it a firm 10 derezzed programs out of 10.

It is great but I don't think a second season would have done the series justice. They would have to stretch the story out and risk watering down the material. The pacing has been solid so far.
No need to get greedy and spoil a good thing.
Good news that a movie is on its way. Nice

Says you.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with having/wanting a 2nd season to this great show.
YABD (Yet Another Baffling Decision) from the powers that be, the 'suits'. All in the name of that almighty dollar, I suppose. :(

You say that now, but when they turn it into another young and restless. Watching a set of filler episodes exploring uninteresting side plots. Like Page and Beck try to find a vacation home together in a bougie location of the grid....or Mara and Zed try out new restaurants in the lower grid but struggle with finding menu choices that they both like.
Trust me, I've seen what can happen when you try to stretch out a good thing, lol
All too common with anime.

Ah...but the tone and culture in which this show was made (and steeped in) ensures that this won't happen.
I'm pretty sure that the bar has been set high enough as well so that 'filler' episodes aren't even a consideration. There's way too much potential 'story' here to waste precious screen-time on filler.

That very tone and culture is both a blessing and a curse. It made for epic pacing but at the same time, it isn't sustainable.
For 12 episodes, yes (see Korra).....for 20, definitely.
For 40 - 48? I don't think so.
The series is awesome but they don't need to milk it, especially with a movie on the way that could bring finality to Clu 2.

So who's to say that new ancillary/nemesis characters can't be introduced to propel another season?
That's what the writing team is for.

True, they could go that route.....and in a way, they started doing that already, with the Stranger and Identity (when they visited purgos to reclaim his disc)
Those were strong episodes.
It would be a good way to explore more of the grid, beyond Argon.
I stand corrected, a season 2 could be epic.
