After several grueling hours on concept sketches, character design, colour scheme and especially PAINFUL sessions of trial and error, I have completed another New Era Outlaw original.
Take a look:

This is the Abominator, another villian crafted from the demented mind of yours truly. There is actually a lot of depth behind his character, but it's really far too late to delve into all of that right now. [yawns]
Right now, it's quarter to two in the morning, my dad's coughing up a freaking storm, I'm tired, and I need, oh, about 50 consecutive hours of sleep or so to catch up. It's been one busy day today, not the least of which is finishing this picture so that starting from tonight, everyone can take a peek at it.
At least you can't say your old buddy Outlaw never did anything for you.
Anyway, I really hope you guys enjoy the pic.
Not my best work, IMO, but I still think it's passable.

I'm intrigued...
I've barely been able to tap the true potential of Adobe Photoshop [would you believe that this is my first experiment with the Gaussian Blur tool?]
I've also just learned how to use the Gradient Tool also [believe it or not], and I've seen the potential that that tool has for pictures.
I would really like to see what this Zoom Blur does...what does it do?

No, D Real Sylvester, I am truly sorry to break up your little attempt to get attention, but I definitely did NOT get this from Gargoyles.
This was purely an attempt on my behalf and my behalf A-LONE.
If he does look like whatever character you say he looks like, I'm sorry, but that is mere co-incidence.
To tell you the truth, I stopped watching Gargoyles since I was thirteen, and as far as I recall, NO character I saw looks like Abominator, not even in the faintest. I even collected all the TRADING CARDS with the ENTIRE CAST on them, and there is nobody, and I repeat, NOBODY who looks like Abominator. Sure, you can claim he looks like Spiderman after he falls into a vat of tar, or then again, any two bit crook with two peepholes cut out in a ski mask. Nobody said the mask was original, really. It is my design, through and through, down to the red symbol emblazoned on Abominator's mask, on the left side. So, Sylvester, to go and say that my character is a rip-off of some show that nobody really cares about again is COMPLETE AND UTTER BS. GO FIND ME SOME PROOF TO BACK UP YOUR CLAIM IF YOU WISH, BUT CHANCES ARE, YOU WILL FIND NOTHING BUT A GUY IN A SKI MASK WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH COMMON IN MOST COMIC BOOKS AND MOVIES.
Judging from the way you wrote that post, I'd say you were seeking a little attention, Sylvester...sorry, eh-eh, ent go work. Go cause comess on somebody else's forum if you want that level of attention. I only posted this to get feedback, not to get gripes from people who don't intend to give me constructive criticism. Know also that I didn't spend till two in the freaking morning to take that kind of crap from NOBODY, so, unless you prove it [which I doubt you will] TAKE THAT COMMENT AND SHOVE IT! :-x

Thanks...I'm learning new things in Photoshop every day, and each time I draw something in Photoshop, I get to put that learning to practice. Be on the look out for a new pic sometime in the next few weeks, where I'll try to master the infamous Gradient Tool! Bwahahahahaha!

Studying the picture a bit, my guess is that it's the outlets for the shoulders in the costume that may remind you a bit of that version of Wolverine. Like Wolverine, the shoulder holes stretch out a bit down to the rib cage [for lack of a better term]. I guess the skin tone is partly guilty as charged, too.... :P
Speaking of which, maybe Arucard does have a point.
Abominator WOULD look better as a man of African descent, or at least somebody with a darker skin tone. Well, live and learn!

I found the Zoom Blur tool in Photoshop, and it gave me just the edge I needed for the Magenta pic that I just posted.
