No 'get your aaahss to Maahss' in this one?   :laughing7:

Looks cool though.  The science-fiction fan in me DEMANDS that I see it.

Holy shit that was friggin awesome. They Getting my money.

This is supposed to be based more tightly off of the short story or w/e it was before it was a movie.

I hope that new Judge Dredd movie looks as cool as this btw.

who knows it could've had an influence (not a bad thing though)

Maybe it started off as mass effect and after the backlash over the ending they changed the name ;D

Just watched this. And damn was it good! One of the better sci-fi films I've seen in a while. I wasn't expecting much after seeing the relatively low IMDb score, but I was pleasantly surprised. 8 outta 10 from me.

Watched this tonight as well. Thought it was mediocre at best. Even the action sequences wasn't as engulfing as it should have been for this type of flick. I found it very hard to connect with and care for any of the characters and while the vfx was good for the most part, in some scenes it just didn't do current technology justice. For instance, that chase scene on the highway with the cars, I felt absolutely no illusion of speed for what was supposed to be a "high speed chase" down a highway. Even the crash physics seemed kinda off. They need a little help from the makers of IRobot in that department. The movie was laced with plotholes and I can't honestly think of a reason to recommend this to anyone, even if they are looking for some mindless fun, since this movie attempts to (and fails horribly at) being intelligent.

5/10 for the woman with 3 bazoongas.

Agreed. The chicks looked bess, but otherwise this was meh squared. Prettiness sans substance. Also seeing old Walter White as the villian was an added bonus.

Well, what can I say. To each his own yes. I for one enjoyed it.

Some of us seem to forget conveniently that an opinion is just that.   Opinion.

Case in point: I think Hunger Games is as interesting as a cherry-flavoured enema, but I know there are many others who do not share that opinion.
Does it bother me?  No.
Does it somehow give me the right to subtly put down others because of it?  No.

Not saying that's what's happening here, but I'm observing a bit of 'snarkiness' of late, in general, between GATTers that don't agree on something.

It's a bit concerning.

I blame this current government...  :laughing7:...they have lots of us on edge.

hahhaa @ kamla behind the snarkiness

beautiful point though arc. No need for us to jump down a man throat if he doesn't agree.

I haven't seen the flick yet, precisely because of mixed opinions expressed.

Will try and take it in before the month is up though and cast my view in the pot.

I'm confused. Not seeing any throat jumping going on in this thread. Everyone's being completely civil as far as I can see.

PS. I real shame, but I really didn't recognize Bryan Cranston in this movie. Shame on me. lolz

Nah, it's not this thread.
Some of the comments reminded me of other threads, that's all.

I saw this as a double with Expendables 2 in good old Globe.

Yeah. I said it. Globe. and honestly if it was not doubled with Expendables 2 I would have felt cheated out of my $20.

I actually enjoyed this movie... Probably because I didn't expect too much from it and I knew beforehand to immediately divorce it from the original. It was a fun ride for me.

I'll be the devil's advocate and state that I love the original one more... but the technology in the movie is amazing.
