This was indeed epic. The love for the genre poured out on the screen.

A little too much self importance with rza's main character but we can allow him that indulgence for the good works wrought here.

A firm 9 hidden blades out of 10

The X blade was a boss character in this flick.

Russel Crowe was bad too.

Caution, only watch if you're a fan of old school kick ups. This won't score well on a regular movie scale.

For real Wyatt. From the reviews and from what I've seen from looking at the trailer, it looks pretty bad. A 9 is classic kickup territory. Are sure you're not exaggerating a little?

Like I said, if you're not into this kind of thing, you won't like it.

The weaker point was the back story around rza, which wasn't necessary. Everything else was classic kick up. If they cut that bit out, I'd have given it a 10.

X Blade, Gemini and Crowe did well enough to keep me entertained

But like I said before, I'm a sucker for this particular genre. Not for everyone.
