Saw this today.

The standout aspect of Oblivion is most certainly the visual aspect. This movie is just downright gorgeous.
Very clean. Very crisp.
Some scenes are just...breathtaking. Example....that swimming pool scene. Wow.
Combined with some great sound production and you have a most immersive experience.

The plot of this movie is it's weak point. If you watch alot of sci-fi, it won't bring anything new to the table for you. It clearly borrows alot from other sci-fi flicks. You will be able to see it's twists and turns from a mile away. The pacing is a tad slow, but I was able to forgive that because I was too busy taking in the awesome visuals.

The action scenes involving the attack drones were awesome. These drones seemed to have been taken from the Terminator Universe. Not a bad thing at all.

Overall, worth watching for the stellar production design. Although the story is unmemorable, it's not bad. Tom Cruise as usual does a good job. Although it didn't help that his character in this movie is named Jack, and I had watched a BRrip of Jack Reacher just last night lol. Dude better not be named Jack in the next movie.

Didn't see the 'twist' coming till it came though.  :laughing7:


Spectacular visuals and sound.  Stellar HD experience.
Another boss 2013 sci-fi movie.
