anybody own a wii u? does a wii u make sense? and if you got one what ya playing?

Got one, only Zombi U, Mario 3d world and nintendo land for the while though. Plan to get wonderful 101 and windwaker soon.
For me, this is the only console that makes sense as of right now,the exclusives aren't coming anywhere else, off tv play is pretty useful, and the controller is truly something different. How Zombi U uses the controller is really unique. True the games are a bit scarce, but that's changing slowly but surely.
and Mario 3d world, looks incredible, has the best couch co op I've ever played easily, and is just incredibly fun.
I'm mainly a pc gamer, and most of the other titles im interested in are coming there, WIIU fulfils the rest of my gaming needs for the hour. Nothing im really interested in on the next gen consoles as of right now. (not yet)
Looking forward to smash brothers, Project X, Mario Kart and Bayonetta 2, also the new Donkey Kong.

I love it. The exclusives out for Wii U now make it worth buying (if you like Nintendo's exclusives). Nintendo has never been a huge online contender (multiplayer gaming). But if you enjoy your Mario (2 out so far, one more in the coming months) and Zelda (Wind Waker HD out atm), Pikmin and some exclusives (Wonderful 101, Lego City Undercover) you'll enjoy it. Also the 3rd party games do have some nice features with touch screen support (Assassins Creed 4, Mass Effect 3, Deus Ex Directors Cut, Batman Origins)
Its a good year to buy a Wii U. Mario Kart, DK Tropical Freeze and Smash on the horizon too

Nintendo 1st party games are system sellers. Always have been.
I've owned every mario kart ever released and don't regret it for a second. Epic fun awaits.

yeah, played some smash bros and zelda on the wii and they were epic but the graphics was hard to look at.i realize that the wii u isnt the most popular right now but hadda play smash in hd. i seriously considering getting one as i decided to skip out on the new consoles and just play everything on pc. will keep my eyes on the system thanks

Picked up one for the wife over the weekend, she hasn't put it down yet..the Wii U will be used for Mario Bros. U, Mario 3D world and mario kart 8 when it come out late spring or summer. She is having loads of fun playing Mario Bros. U, its a fun game. 3D World is really fun too. Enjoying this purchase...one note though, the controller is HUUUUUUUUGE! Almost as big as the console itself...LOL
BTW, i picked up the Zelda edition, controller has some neat Zelda theme markings on it.
She can enjoy the Wii U while I play Xbox One :) Win Win..

Its true that sales are poor next to the first Wii but the Wii u has sold over 5 mill world wide. That that means the Wii U has the largest install base at this time, and I know some will say its because the Wii U has a years head start and that's true but the fact remains the WII U is the leader at this point.

And that's what Nintendo always win with. Even if its not your first choice for whatever reason its at least your second choice. So at the end they always sell

Hopefully sales pick up with the wii u. I have to get one when smash bros and new zelda comes out for sure
