UPDATE Happy New Year everyone over the past year the library has grown exponentially to the point i have started a subscription club with a few members where you pay a monthly fee for unlimited access to the library of games Please see below for the updated library and a link to the Facebook page i created to streamline things in an organized manner.

I'm curious as to how exactly you're going to 'rent' digital games.

Each game has its own account so when a member requests a title I simply send the acct info to the member they can pay via say amazon gift card service per week say about $10-20 depending on the game and they return it afterwards via deactivation on their ps4,console. for the next member to use. If everything goes smoothly I can use the proceeds to purchase more titles and create a worth while service for gamers to play on the cheap. There will of course be risks involved on my end but I will gauge it as it comes. I have approximately 20 Ps4 titles atm to choose from.

What's stopping said member from locking you out of your own account. I would also limit rentals to members with a certain post count.

Yeah that's the initial thing I plan to do. It's based on trust and having everyone come together to play on the cheap.

Still not clear on how the renting works, but I think it's an idea worth exploring.

It's pretty simple really and it can be a positive step in not having to pay $450 for a physical disc in most stores. If someone makes it bad for everyone else I will take the loss and shut down immediately. Not withstanding there are ways to recover accounts that are stolen. But this helps everyone to play AAA titles for next to what gamefly charges customers in the US. If the interest and response to this is positive I can purchase more titles. If it goes really well every week the store updates I will buy titles.and maybe organize a thread or subforum with permission from the mods.

Put me down for this yes. I wouldn't mind a no-frills renting for some titles I might be hesitant to purchase outright.

No it wouldn't the games belong to me its binded by a user name and password for an acct I created and a license I paid for.

ALSO I FORGOT TO MENTION In case anyone is worried about trophies and what not. Once the game is installed on your ps4 it is accessible on your personal account so a simple switch over to your main user you can play the game there as if it was on your personal account. Friends list trophies and share play.

Would it be ok then if the accounts were created by a group and the games purchased by a group...so that they would all be owners. As opposed to saying one individual buys the game and then is deemed the owner and unable to "share" it?
Sony has some pretty meaty TOS guidance there boy.
10.2. When using community features, you may be able to share messages, comments, pictures, photographs, videos, game assets, game videos and other materials and information ("User Generated Media" or "UGM"). When doing so, you must behave decently, respectfully and with consideration for other people. You must not share anything that is offensive or vulgar or use community features to harm or alarm anyone. Funny how precious little of Sony's wonderful TOS was mentioned when people were busy sharing games with other people's accounts on their PS4. :)
Tell whoever 'pointed this out' that they spelled 'hypocrisy' wrong.
