Hey ya'll
have you seen the preview for the next spiderman game? based on the "Ultimate" marvel series. i don't know bout ya'll but i thought the movie based spidey game were both crappy, Spiderman 2 more than 1. But this version looks like they are making an attempt to bring back the comic book feel that the orginal spiderman game for PSX had. (yay! I'm so happy!!) oh cell shaded goodness.
Thoughts?

Spiderman 2 was much better than 1 d00d. The game and the movie. Ultimate Spiderman feels like Spiderman 2 when i played it with the nice graphics. Chalk up the Ultimate Hulk game too. GTA Spidey and Hulk

Wasn't a fan of cell shaded stuff till I saw Naruto Ninja Taisen 3 on gamecube.
As a result, I shall join you in anticipating spidey's return to the pixel screen.

man i didn't like spidey 2 at all, they took away the adventure aspect of it. and thats the essence of spidey!!.......... man...........

I find Spidey 2 was decent, u had more freedom compliments of fantastic rendition of the city was good...could have sling a web on every building.In that game u actully felt like spider man but the fact that it was based on the movie i could agree with u Shogun the adventure aspect was kinda bogus. I guess this new cell shaded one would pickup the slack and deliver a unique storyline and adventure......

One of the coolest thing about the Spidey 2 was that you get to play Spidey like you NEVER did before. I mean i had more fun NOT following the damn story. Climb to the top of the Empire, dive off and HEAR the wind blowing as you fall, fire the web and skim the streets before rocketing up to the next building...man that was just fantastic.

LOL......Yea i use to do that too...find the highest building and freefall until i was a few feet before i land,i'll sling a web and i'll shoot back up i the air.....[singing the theme song from Spiderman and friends]

i hear yah, yeah at times you just wanna take a free run around the city as spidey. i'm just saying that in spidey 2 because of all these different "missions" i lost focus of the main story/plot of the game, and quickly lost interest.

i only played the orginal spiderman for the ps1 and the one for the movie on the ps2, i never botheredwith the second game because i didn't like the end of the movie and it didn't exactly get the reviews i was lokking for to buy the game. i was expecting a battle to the death like the first one, but 2 was o.k.

yeah the cellshaded graphics is a step up, and they way they are approaching the story telling, like the FMVS, very original. they are making it as to give the feeling that you are actually reading a comic book but the scenes come to life.
its hot.

I disagree with what you're saying about the previous Spider-man movie/games. Spider-man and Spider-man 2 were exceptional games.
They had a few glitches but they were forgivable. However the new Spider-man game does look quite promising. It looks like a game for Spider-man enthusiats..I can't wait.

i fine the game buss. Spiderman 2 better. And i doh like playing with Venom. He trying to be like Hulk and Ultimate Destruction much much better

Iam not a spiderman fan, but iam a big comic fan and i know venom and carnage very well.
Venom is not just a big dumb brawler. Which is what makes him so dangerous.

That means we HOPE for Carnage to emerge in or at the end....if anything
But how they gonna explain how Venom was made? I mean withthe suit and all Spidey had and blah blah blah? THe have time in a movie to explain all that AND Spidey to fight and stop everyone?

Yeah, I read that online just this week... Sandman to craw... Venom ftw!!!
It's anyone's guess right now how they'll do the whole scenario with the symbiote, but my guess is it'll start with the black suit and Spidey vs. Sandman, eventually leading to their separation and the introduction of Venom as 'normal' Spidey overcomes Sandman.
but anyhow, enough of this,

hmm Venom being a DA thats not cool and where ever venom is there has to be a plot twist to bring in carnage come on! oh well im not a big spidey fan anyhow i jus liked the 2099 comics and the first few not to big on the movies..loved the marvel cartoons though the game ..looks aight but im not quick to buy it where is a mc JL game!! damn..anywhos ..lol

All that matters to me is if you could move about free in the city and freefall off buildings......not quit often you really get to do that off the twin towers in a spidey custume, this = handcuff + St. Anns

JK entertainment in Chagunas has ultimate spider man for the cube right? and does it also have MK Shaolin Monks for the Cube?

it was a decent game..but too short..the only thing that made it seem long is the city goals and ting. The graphics were boss and VENOM is ah BEASTTTT!!!! :wacko:

i have the cube version, it real decent didnt beat it yet because i real beasting fifa 06, but the graphics on all the consoles look the same to me. Really good game though.
