I just played the single player demo of BOS , it's a strange futeristic fusion of Unreal tournament and a WWII game , your a mercenary who earns money by doing missions , you need the money to buy weapons , armour and hire team mates , you get alot of cash from kills which can be spent in mission on repairs to your armour (which is the only thing that stands between you and death) and more ammo , during most missions you have the oppurtunity to place a 'bet' on an enemy soldier in the mission area , who half way usually appears to fight you , if you win you are awarded 10-20 times the normal kill payout , but of course these guys have alot more armour and hit points than anyone else in the game...
There are vehicles , i got a chance to use a mech in the demo , the graphics are SUPERB , too good for words , per pixel lighting and SM3.0 effects make it soo juicy , better than half life 2 or doom III , as good as FEAR minus the amazing shadows... I haven't enjoyed a game this much since Farcry or Half Life II , though there is no story to speak of , the gameplay makes up for everything , a mix of realistic and unreal that anyone will love , puts every game i played so far to shame .
Game plays fairly well on my 6600gt , athlon xp 3200 and 1 gig of ram @ 1024x768 maxedo ut but still lags in some areas.... i'd say you'll need a 6800 ultra or 7800gt to enjoy it at full resolution . I'll post some screenshots later when i'm not too lazy... but until then i'll put up links .

its worth every minute of download , trust me , i can't wait to see how this plays over LAN ...

Here are some screens , uploaded to a 3rd party site.... artwork ain't exactly pretty but you can see the all the shiny metals..... and shiny bald heads , engine is capable of alot , it has built in SM 3.0 , support for 64 bit extensions , physics processor which will actually help a bit in this game , the damage model is alot more realistic than in most other games... and alot of stuff go flying with every shot , mainly armour that has been ripped off...

been hearing a lot of good things about this game!
those pics not really doing it justice I am sure. Can't wait to play the demo myself.
Also saw a demo for Starship Troopers out as well.

starship troopers is too mediocre to worth mentioning in the presence of a game like BOS , movie game again........ okay ish game , but it is a MOVIE game and thus lacks much innovation like most movie games do , if your REALLY bored and already beat games like half life 2 , farcry etc. playing it may be an option , but i won't buy it unless i have real cash to spare... and already purchased BOS ,Quake 4 , and FEAR ...

try Antlion Trooper duece.... it lags a bit but antlions have alot more character than bugs... and its free .. and only 60 megs..
