Title: Sesame Street Old Episodes
Post by: AIDS on March 06, 2006, 10:12:45 PM
I know this might not be the right place for this but does anybody know where I can get the old episodes of Sesame Street?

I'm talking about like eps. 1 and stuff, back when Mr. Hooper was still alive and Maria and Loise were still dating.
Back when Snuffy was big birds 'imaginary' friend and Linda (the deaf mute) cared more about her dog Fluffy than her boyfriend Bob.

If you posses these episodes or know where they are available please let me know. I keep telling my younger siblings that the old Sesame Street was nothing like the crap that this 'new' Sesame Street is. All I have to prove it are a handfull of audio tracks on a CD but if I get the actual eps (either on VHS, DVD or in AVI format) It would make a wonderfull addition to my collection.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah Gina was hot but a bit annoying and Gabby real goodlooking these days and she should be in her late teens of early 20's now.

I don't remember the David guy unless you talking about Mr. Handford who big Bird always called Mr. HandFoot.

The new episodes lack the character of the old Sesame Street but I guess that is the price you pay for progress. It showing on TV6 these days and could you believe they actually ADVERTISING during Sesame Street?

Don't all the 'intellegent' people at CCN realize that SS comes with it's own commercials? (The letter of the day etc.) They are interfaring with the carefully crafted curriculum that was layed out by the producers.

Anyway, as long as i can get the episodes I can put them on DVD myself. So let me know if you get any leads.

How many of you remember when Tatyana Ali (Ashley from Fresh Prince) who is a Trinidadian was on Sesame Street?

She was in a skit where the kids went to a recording studio and the guy asked her to say her name into the mic. After he recorded it he was able to do some cool effects with his synthesiser. He made her voice sound deeper, higher and even robotic. Score one for Trinidad!

Anybody have any luck tracking down those episodes as yet?

I'm still looking for them even if they are not in sequential order.

If PBS released the originals on DVD they could make some money for real! Dunno y it was not done.
Gina is now Dr. Gina! Still lookin good.
Anyone remember the LP's of SS songs? Must also be a collectable now!
