"inaction of spectators"?! To quote Penn & Teller; "BULLS#!T!" The judges were alerted, however whatever action or inaction that occurred as a result, was entirely their decision!
We needed more judges! And for future tournaments we need 'competent' judges, not just 'qualified' judges! If we are using UD rules then just state that to all the duelists before the start and enforce the rules!
BTW, the cheating was taking place by all members of this 'hen's' cluck, and was being overseen by a 'mother hen'.

I would appreciate if ppl would stop defmaing the tourney i hosted by stating that i allowed the cheater to progress as far as he did. I only informed by the audience mid way into the 2nd duel of the final. I asked them if they had any solid proof from which i could have the person removed, and i was met witha negative. I then did the only thing i could logically do, i sat down next to the person to ensure he did not cheat and squashed the results of the previous 2 duels in the match. I made a decision that the winner of the last duel would win the tourney and hidden won. For the time i was there there was no cheating, so how can u expect me to act on what i had not seen.
I am not saying that you all are making up the fact that he cheated, quite the opposite. I am saying that i had no PROOF for which i could disqualify him. and in my position acting on impulse without any proof would have raised a very unhappy mob. Something i did not believe was the interest of your safety. For as your friend and tournament organizer, your safety is the most important thing to me.
However, i believe that you are right about the number of judges employed. I was really looking to have more GATT staff helping out but that day coincided with Cooler fete and the persons were unable to come out and help. So i was short staffed. Next time (June 26th) we will be alot better prepared. I am extending the invitation to New Era Outlaw to assist us as one of the senior GATT judges in charge of the 1vs 1 main dueling section. I hope with his expertise he will provide the needed sanction of the GATT tournaments.
In addition, i will hire additional security so that if i have to expel a cheater, any riots caused thereof may be contained. But i hope that it never comes to that.

just to add a bit more info the dude who lost the mirror force blamed a gatt duelist bandit (yea the name makes it just seem bad lol).... and had AC8 security search him his bag and his deck... then after i dueled the lil boy and when i used my force he said" thats my mirror force!"....needless to say he was not all that bright he was"sure" that it was his till i took it out of the case to reveal my 40$ mirror force lol in 40$ condition.:D

I remember a girl from the very 1st AC tourney who had some mad skillz and some unusual tactics.....she made it up to the Quarterfinals but was defeated by our own NewEraOutlaw....maybe if she had better cards she would have gone further

We will definitely duel at ETC(Embrace the Chaos) seeing as the tournament will be open challenge.
I can already predict some the final 16 duelists if we leave it as open challenge. Myself, Johnathan, c&b, rio, chris, bouya, Neo, Spk, Kajun, Senessa, Darkmaster Zim, Brent, Joseph, Sirus, Bandit and maybe 1 other from central.
We are also considering hosting a double duel tournament also.
Computerman, i'll have to agree with chicken and say that the list most likely won't be changing. anyway, you won't have to worry aboput that if you run into me. i suggest that you play me first so i can take your locator card and you can get back in one time. cause if you are knocked out in your first game you can get back in by paying half price. but thas only for the first game. after your first game with me you'll be safe when you come back in cause we won't be able to play again unless you challenge me, which i doubt will be happening after the first beating.

A renewed fire burns within me. I'm back, my deck is also back with a few improvements that i know you all will just love hating. She has found a way to motivate me to continue dueling. She cut my a** in a duel then she literally cut my a** with some pillows until i agreed to continue dueling. The time is now, the place is ETC, embrace the power of my new and improved deck. By the, registrations for ETC start fellas, sign up for d sof or unreal early cause i don't think there'll be any late registrations.

As for Exodia....I think the Forbidden one will make a come back...Sangan and Witch MAY end up on the banned list...emphasis on MAY. But even if they are not, Emissary of the afterlife and do the job and a whole lot more! and u get them in 3's.

I don't have the info on the console tournaments due to the fact that i was dueling while they were taking place, so i couldn't even enter. neo will give info on that later.
I don't think that you all should have a "normal" tournament and a banned list tournament.
The banned list was implemented for a reason, so that new deck ideas and strategies would emerge and have an equal chance at victory competing with the beatdown / hand destruction decks. When u choose not to use the banned list, any newbie can Xerox the deck of an experienced duelist and whoop others senseless as we've seen in the past. So for the sake of true duelists who spend time and effort studying the game and constructing a deck that's unique, Implement the banned list.

I think i will take a hand in this tourney. We can even make it a big event. As long as we have 75 people we can definately swing it.The big tourneys have their place in the grand scheme of dueling. An occational big tourney, maybe two or perhaps (dare I suggest it) three per year should keep the masses satisfied.
I think that a new venue....more closed in is also needed. Working on that now.I do hope we get a regular dueling venue soon. We desperatly need a secure location to sharpen our skills if we intend to make it to the world championships. :mellow:
Well I may look to host a small tourney soon, with a small entrance fee, but no prizes, but for the sake of rankings...(entrance fee to cover rental of chairs/tables, food and drinks, and anyone who was here for my tourney last time would know how we cover well :) ).That sounds excellent! But how 'bout a small prize...one booster pack for the winner or perhaps at least their entrance fee + some small $$. There must be some sort of prize...even if it's purely for ceremonial purposes. -_-

Computerman, i hope that gatt's elite team of duelists are ready and if not you should start organising your team, because as soon as SPK sets a date, it's Chaos Legeon vs GATT vs Arima.Once the date is set we will start to prepare. However my team (not the GATT team) is currently two players short....until July.

Hey this is my first post here............ok well down to business.RYAN that tournament was awesome, i had a great time and not because i won, i woulda have a good time anyways.It was SO sour when i lost my first game and then after feeling good and comin back after to win three i got RIO to play for a a playoff in the finals.That just sour my whole day.The friday before chaos legion come on we turf and completely obliterate we very foundation.Every man jack get licks from rio and although i beat balki some sets i never completely recover from that licks i got from rio.So when i got rio to play i thought i had no chance of making it to the finals.Well thanks to bottomless i won against rio, and mobius, lily and confication handle balki real good.WELL after that things was easy.Well my money done already.
And Ryan my girlfriend said you treated her like royalty...she thoroughly enjoyed the tournament and your parents company.
