Oracle Note: (10/7/01) Gloria Foster, AKA "The Oracle", died on September 29th, 2001 of diabetes, before starting work on any of her Matrix 3 filming (most of her Matrix Reloaded work was already done). There's no word yet about whether this film will be rewritten in the aftermath, or if the role will be recast with another actress. (5/6/02) TIME reports that a rewrite was done so that the Oracle will be taking a "different form" in this movie.

This news is more than a year old. The new Oracle, from the previews, looks more or less the same. She took a new form because she's a program and she's being hunted...disguise or something.

Yet she looks more or less the same...

They did a good job in the movie for the reason  for her character change really cool
