PC Gaming / UT2004 info tonight on Screensavers« on: February 26, 2004, 09:22:43 PM »
Special Edition(Limited Edition) = 2dvds and alot of bonus stuff not in the regular version. Even includes a headset.
Regular = 6 cds 2k4 includes many of the maps that were in 2k3. But the majority of the maps are for 2k4. The current maplist for 2k4 is in the system folder as int files I think. 44

PC Gaming / which clan is the worst?« on: December 08, 2003, 10:16:14 PM »
There is a worst clan. And it may not be the "One Man Clan"
The one that has some players and when they play they all get smoked by one guy and that one guy dominates the match to the end. That clan vs. one guy. One Man Clan pwnij. =) 54
PC Gaming / NFS:UNDERGROUND it reeeeaaaallll Maddddddd« on: December 08, 2003, 10:03:28 PM »
I like the game. Just wish it had more of those options that were in Nfs:PU, Nfs3 and High Stakes(pc versions). Some of the best things like car tuning, dashboard views(last 2 events in hp2 don't count), mirrored tracks, killer replay features, knockout mode etc. have been mysteriously omitted. Good thing is what it lacks in that, it makes up for in good gameplay and tons of ways to customize your baby.
Oh and where the f*ck are the cops? In a world of illegal street racing and not even the minimal presence of the feds(oh well there probably will be another nfs with cops)?. I kinda wish they had brought back the "High Stakes" mode where if you lose the race, the guy you were racing against gets your car.. Most of the circuit tracks are too damn short(even in its city setting), but having played hot pursuit 2, that's just me. Other than that, this game is fun. IMO 55
PC Gaming / Unreal2 XMP demo out!« on: December 06, 2003, 01:57:34 PM »
Xmp is fun. Its better than I thought it would be. One of the better games I've played in a while(apart from underground). Its kinda complicated really. 2 teams start with 2 artifacts and one team must make sure they have all four to win. Its play may remind you of ctf or any kind of strategy game. You will need to work as a team to win most games.
You'll be hacking alot and fighting to control important parts of the map. You can't win without having some energy flowing inside your base. Energy is used for a wide variety of things and you need to hack energy sources around the map so you will have some power for the many things you'll need it for. Even if you suck at getting kills in general you can do other things such as setting up defenses which include laser walls, mines, auto-turrets, rocket turrets, tripwires and more. The three classes are pretty unique. You can do things like drop health, armor and ammo depending of the class you've chosen. There are several other differences such as player speed, arsenal, max hp and armor etc. The vehicles are ok but with 56k controlling them is a bitch(maybe the netcode needs more work here). Good thing about the vehicles is that they all have nos which comes in handy. Even the tank has nos Hell, I even brought back ownij pics. :-D Yo whatup laertes and co.? 56
PC Gaming / Unreal2 XMP demo out!« on: December 05, 2003, 03:07:01 PM »
Its out. I'm gonna give it a try.
Those of you who don't know, XMP(xpanded multiplayer) is a class based multiplayer game type for Unreal2. The goal is to get artifacts(4 I think) for your team to win. There are also a few vehicles to mess around in. You don't need Unreal 2 to play the demo. The SE version of Unreal 2 which includes the regular sp and the new xmp(and the free version of xmp for those who already own U2, includes around 8 xmp maps) is coming in the next few days. 57

PC Gaming / HL2 source code leakage.« on: October 07, 2003, 12:30:40 PM »
Well by the looks of it Half-Life 2 has been once more. It could be until April next year because they have to rewrite code. I'm glad they delayed it. By that time I should have a good pc. =)
I wish they would cancel steam though. |
