Hey datta, good to add another trinidadian to the list. When the pre-registration form is up, be sure to fill it out.
Tekken tag will be in the tourney. Tekken 5.0 will be used. I REPEAT, TEKKEN 5.0 WILL BE USED, UNLESS A UPDATED VERSION IS RELEASED ON CONSOLE.
I really don;t want to hear anything about "i used to play 5.1 or T-DR only" if you lose because thats a load of BS. Every fighting gamer thats a great player is "Backwards Compatible". I will play you in street fighter 2, turbo, alpha, w/e. You should also adapt your game styles to the most played tekken game right now, whcih is Tekken 5.
Our newsletter will be out this week, look out for it. If you didn't submit your email at the guestbook or through our voting forms, please do so if you wanna get the newsletter.

Hey guys... this is the first time i'm seeing this forum... didn't realise you guys wree beating up on my boy Jin11 like that.
Look, quite frankly, Jin11 is the most talented tekken playe ri hhave ever seen in my life. I have seen many, trust me. I've been to competitions in The Netherlands, Englands, Spain, the US, Puerto Rico, St. kitts and Curacao, and he has been the best i have ever seen. None of the champs inthose omcpetitons, even thos ein europe, i think, could convinclly beat Jin11. If anyone beats this guya match, they worked really hard for that.
No doubt bryanmaster has his credentials... i've read alot about him. I know Jin11 is a big trashtalker, so i won't really ask you guys to respect him, but being the Chief of VxG, i can vouhc for his level of skill.
Oh most recebtly, he holds the most number of consecutive wins in an major arcade in Toronoto: 54. 54 wins in a row!
I CAN;T WAIT TO SEE BRYAN AND JIN GO AT IT! Next summer will be great. The national championship of Tekken will probbaly be between St. Maarten led by Jin11 and Trinidad led by BryanMaster... although puerto rico will pose some competiton, led by Eduardo Gustaves, the national champion of PR.
VxG Tekken scene is gonna be off the HOOK!

I just came out of a meeting with the committee and we conclude the following: We're going to include PC gaming into our roster. For Now, a version of counterstrike and a version of warcraft will be in the game. Votes will determine whcih version. We're going to have the designing of travel packages arranged externally to get the optimal prices and reliablity. We'll be putting a pre-registration form at the website soon. Early bird paid registrations will receive big discounts. Payments will be arranged through secure channels of paypal. Won't make much sense to book them on your own, because the prices we will arrange are gonna be cheaper. Keep an eye at our website ( www.vxg2k6.com) and especially our forum http://vxg2k6.proboards33.com. I'm going to be posting less at the forums now, since i'll be busy moderating our own forums. The best way to post to us quickly would be at our forums. Looking forward to a big group from trinidad... the more of you the merrier... just please don;t take away tooooo many of our trophies

Hi guys, i have a lil update to make.
We've tallied our game voting and also read many of your emails and suggestions regarding the inclusion of PC Gaming into the VxG organization. Up until last year, we've been a strictly console gaming syndicate. This is only because the activity for PC gaming on St. Maarten has not bee as big as console gaming, but now that we are becoming more and more internationally involved, we have seen how important it is for us to include PC Gaming into our official roster.
World Cyber Games has also informed us that we might have to increase our PC gaming roster if we are to become an official affiliate with them, antoher insentive for us to increase our pc gaming base.
We'll be having a meeting this weekend to officially include PC gaming on our roster. Off the top of my head, half-life counterstrike, Age of Empires and Warcraft 3 are some of the games getting major votes so far.
We'll also discuss the possibilty of sponsoring a Caribbean server for online gaming. I'll assigne the relevant members to start a feasabilty study on that idea.

Wpoooy street fighter, you talking to ME then. Let me tell you how it is. On SM, street fighter is the biggest fighting game right now competitvely speaking, we hold medal plays every month for that game. Right now, 4 fellas run that scene: Fong and Malor of the Netherlands (they come periodically to sxm), a french kid called Ys, and myself. I would rate my skills as professional, being that I've already played in europe (Netehrlands, England and Spain) and held my ground.
Third strike, i don't like it to be real honest, since i find it has deviated so much from what street fighter realy is. Nevertheless, only because it is so big, i am forced to play it. Yet, my best game is CvS2, and then Street Fighter Alpha 3.
It'ds too bad that as an organizer i've never been allowed to compete, but i've played thechamp, "Lord Fong", and we are 50/50 in games i would say. He's damn good.
Hope that gives you an idea of the scene, although i expect some vids will help. We'll make some and upload them at the site soon.

I hope you guys are not seriously concerned about the SAFETY of brianmaster. St. Maarten is one of the best inter=caribbean event holders inthe Caribbean... VxG is safe, you can trust us. I haven;t gotten a reply from BWIA yet, but one of the supervisors there is gonn alet me know what the best deal she could get for december. However, in the summer, if we can get at least 20 people from trinidad we will get a chartered liat plane from trinidad that will be very very cheap for you guys. By december, i will let you know what the price on the package to our Summer Event will be. Packages will be based on what you want. Whetehr you want something very affordable, whethe ryou want to stay for just he weekend of for a little more than that, whether you wanna stay in a resort as apposed to hotel or motel, packages will be designed to everyone's preferences.

Thanks for the support trinidad! You guys have already contributed about 20 questionnaires, i hope we can get more from you!
We are nearing the 300 mark, when we reach this i will make out the First Draft of the VxG Caribbean Research Project, so i'll publish this edition on the webs soon.
As a token of appreciation, i'll send a bounded copy of our final report (Due December 15th) to GATT in trinidad.

Hey baego... boy you asking for a lot there, i not going lie. To pay his ticket? ... the best i can do is have a chat with the airline sponsors to see if we can get a discounted price on the ticket. Right now we have relations with liat, and we'll see what the best price is with them. We'll check bwia and Sun, and i'll email you the best offer.
Heheh, as for the other dude, i don't think we will hurt the man, since he might be your national Hero or something... we want to see a big turnout from trinidad for Video x Games next summer.
Just keep in mind that if Jin does beat him... i don;t think he's gonna want to play tekken anymore and might indeed resort to pacman.
Remeber though, the main event for our organization is the Summer competition, the other medal play tourneys are not so big, about 50 to 60 people come for the monthly medal plays. Also, the level of competiton is not as high in our medal play tourneys, everyone brings out their best game for THE Video x Games event in the summer, so maybe we should save bryanmaster and jin the battle till then.
We also will be doing the national championship: a huge Championship Cup with our mascot "Blue-Roo" in Gold and Blue holding up the name of the game. The national championship will involve teams of 3 for the fighting games, with the 3 members each from the same country. So far, SXM, The Netherlands, USA, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Bonaire, Saba, Statia, St. Kitts and St. Thomas have confirmed for next years national championship... What about trinidad? Y'all interested?

Dear Friends, As part of the commitee organizing the Video-X-Games Tournament for 2006 which will be held in St. Maarten, i am sending you a link to a short survey that i would like you to participate in. The survey deals with Video Game Industry in the Caribbean. We are asking for 2 minutes of your time to participate in filling out a questionnaire that will give us important information about trends in the Caribbean Video Game Industry. We can then compare your results to global trends, giving us a clear indication of what the Caribbean's market share of the industry really is. To qualify for this questionnaire, you must be RESIDING IN THE CARIBBEAN (with the exception of those who have left the region to study abroad, but who ultimately plan to return to the Caribbean). YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A GAMER TO FILL THIS OUT. EVEN IF YOU NEVER PLAYED, PLEASE FILL IN WHAT IS APPLICABLE TO YOU! (First Four Questions) The link below will take you to a page of the Caribbean Video X-Games Website, where you can fill out the automated questionnaire you see. http://www.vxg2k6.com/gaminginthecaribbean.htmFeel free to browse around the site when you are done, and we welcome you to sign our guestbook. Thank you for your participation, and please feel free to forward this email to your friends. Video-X-Games Organizing Committee

The Video X-Games (VxG) is a yearly Video Game competition held on the Island of St. Maarten. The competition attracts over 100 local players on the island and many more international competitors from other Islands such as Puerto Rico, Jamaica, St. Kitts, The U.S Virgin Islands and also from other countries, including The Netherlands, Guyana, Colombia and Mexico. This year, VXG is looking to grow to 300 participants by making special packages for those travelling from aborad to be a part of this super event. The competition basically runs 15 - 20 games in several genres and only the most poluar and competitive games are a part of the major tournament. There are also extra games run, team competiton, and new to this year, the conveted Caribbean VXG Championship. Prizes are expected to be better than ever! Cash prizes of up to $1000.00 (US$), video game systems, airline flights, other techonlogical gadgets such as ipods and much more can be won at this competition. Of course, the main prize is the bargging rights of supremacy in your game in the as crowned by VxG, the coveted "Blue-Roo" Troophy - a trophy many have started to call the "Oscar" or "Golden Globe" of caribbean video games. We also send our winners to other islands and around the world, such as Jehiel Alexander, who after winning our Halo championship was sent to france and became their national champion, then followed on to be the Halo 2 Champion of Europe earlier this year. There will also be several expos slated, such as visits from video game companies, the The Tech - Museum of Technology and others. We are also hoping to invite the cast and crew of Bang the Machine to this tournament, the reality TV show in the USA that tells the story of old school gamers trying to re-own their skills. The weekend event is slated for Mid July, whcih allows you to take advantage of Off-Season Rates and the popular Summerfest concerts on St. Maarten. This is a good chance for gamers to not only meet the gamers from the Caribbean and compete for the championship, but also to enjoya nice vacation in St. Maarten. Snce we have the backing of sevral airlines, hotels and even the Government of St. Maarten, we will be designing very affordable package options to meet your needs if you choose to participate. One accomodation idea we have is the buddy system, where we will pair off as many of you with a buddy from St. Maarten who can be your host for the week(end). For those of you that want to stay in a hotel, we will make sure have the best hotel accomodation you can get within whatever budget you present to us. Please feel free to visit our website: www.vxg2k6.com Here we have pictures of previous events, news about other gaming events on the island, and much more. If you want more information about the competition, feel free to email me at info@vxg2k6.com. I will come back to these forums regularly to update you on the progress. We want to be able to have things set way in advanced, so that we can give you much time to plan for your trip next summer to St. Maarten. Peace out guys, and good gaming! Rolando Brison a.k.a Coconut Gizmo Chief Coordinator Video X-Games 2006 Committee P.S. Here is a link to the st. maarten website, so you can also get a look at what the island itself will have to offer. www.st-maarten.com
