CHINA has closed 1,600 internet cafes and fined operators a total of 100 million yuan (£6.5m) for letting children play violent games and for other violations, the government revealed yesterday.

The statement came amid a campaign launched in March to reduce or eliminate sex and violence in websites, video games and other material that Communist leaders consider harmful to public morality.

Investigators have inspected 1.8 million internet cafes looking for unlicensed operations or those that let children play violent games meant for adults, the Ministry of Culture said.

China encourages internet use for education and business, but bans sexual content on Chinese websites and tries to block foreign sites deemed pornographic or subversive.

In addition to those shut down permanently, some 18,000 internet cafes have been ordered to "stop operation for rectification", the official Xinhua News Agency quoted Zhang Xinjian, a Culture Ministry official, as saying.

The government said this month that 1,125 pornographic websites had been shut down since July and 445 people had been arrested.

Kinda suprised nobody ent open up a thread for this....

John Constantine (Keanu Reeves) is a world-travelling, mage-like misfit who investigates supernatural mysteries and the like, walking a thin line between evil and good. Constantine teams up with a female police detective, Angela (Rachel Weisz), who seeks Constantine's help while investigating the suicide-like death of her twin sister. Does it have something to do with a mysterious group called "The First of the Fallen"? And what is it about Constantine that puts him in a position where he is making deals with representatives from both Heaven and Hell?






i HAve a serious interest in this movie, i saw the trailer in the cinema and the entire movie looks reeallly good.....
i have high hopes for this movie and i hope it doesn't disappoint me...

what allyuh think about it?

this movie is looking very good, in the movie a vampire older than dracula is awaken named drake and blade needs help from a group of vampire hunters by the name of the nightstalkers.........
the group has "van wilder dude" i dunno his reel name and jessica biel(whistler's daughter)........
