Bay Makes It Into Guinness Book of World Records For Biggest Explosion On Film

Well, you knew this was coming eventually. With Michael Bay pushing the limits of action films to the limit with every film he makes, he has finally made his mark in the Guinness Book of World Records.

According to the New Zealand Herald, the record is for the biggest explosion on film with actors present.

The explosion occurred during the White Sands, New Mexico filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Plants vs Zombies Music Video

This is a pretty ace little strategy game for the casual gamer. Basically you defend your house from zombies by putting plants in front of it, that attack them lol. I cannot stress how fun and addictive this game is. There's a great variety of both plants and zombies to keep things interesting.

Try it out =]

Very good vampire flick from Sweden that came out this year. Plot is similar to the crappy teen movie Twilight (except here it's boy likes vamp girl)...but it's way better in terms of everything. Check it out.

One for the horror fans, you all have no excuse not to see this.

This a Spanish film first of all, so you'll be reading subs. Also it's filmed Blair-Witch Project style, or more recently- Cloverfield style. The story follows an unfortunately irritating night time TV show host Angela and her cameraman Pablo as they document what the hell goes on in a Firestation. During this the station gets a call about a person trapped in an apartment and Angela and Pablo goes along with the dispatched officers to see what's up. What they find is a weird old lady...who starts attacking people. When they try to leave, they find that the building is sealed of and quarantined by Army Special Forces, trapping everyone inside. What takes place in the apartment building after that is one awesome scarefest (especially the last few mins).

By the way, this movie is being given a US remake called 'Quarantine' which will be released later this year...but we all know how those remakes turn out.

Ole Talk / Early Easter
« on: March 19, 2008, 09:15:34 PM »
Here's something interesting about Easter this year

Quote
Do you realize how early Easter is this year? As you may know, Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar.

Found out a couple of things you might be interested in! Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22) but that is pretty rare.

Here 's the interesting info. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here's the facts:

1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones that were around for that!).

2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year!

Okay I know HBP hasn't even come out yet, but here's some breaking news about the final Potter film.

It's not going to be one, but TWO movies.  :awesome:

One part will be released in November 2010 and the conclusion to be shown in May 2011.

There's word that John Williams will be returning to score it. Steve Kloves will be writing (wrote all but OotP).

So yeah, a whole movie dedicated to the big battle in the end?
