PC Gaming / Gaming Association of Barbados?

my first day in barbados I happen to find a GL:  Game Zone
(www.GZ.BB)

while there is no national association yet

them bajans (and the guy from the netherlands I think) do have some talent

Baego if you haven't contacted them yet (or vici-versa) hook up with carigamers


p.s. for all the Racing nuts of Gatt,
Game Zone had at least 8 machines with steering wheels + foot pedals

for all the CoD nust out there they had 1.4 and a few nice maps I never saw before

really opens the possibilites with diversity in CoD
(cod is there sof but those men have lives so my unpracticed self was conducting in the name of Gatt; but they are no pushovers)

I don't just mean hardware (but yes all hardware, ships planes tanks guns missles etc) but also tactics and operational plans & concepts etc.

Sweat Reports / night of savage

sorry it took so long but I have been AWOL from the forums

anyway, last Saturday night the allmighty Savage Godfathers, the Bubbas, played a little savage against the only team willing to play savage besides us

we were understrength and had a new, but experienced member, and was assisted by Burbon Ghost to help make up some numbers.
Chronos and I were the only two original Bubbas playing and the team was rounded off by one of our opponents giving us five players to their seven, (yes thats right 5 vs 7)

while we were very much out of practice, we managed a convincing display of domination with Chronos and I having some "interesting" kill scores (Chronos 88, me 65+; in savage 20 is a high score) and in (only) two long hard fought battles we were victorious

the only problem now is if those men are willing to get more licks

it hard to find any competition, much less good competition in Savage

Baego, we might bounce in a night so have it ready on your pc's in Euro

the thirst not gone yet, I hunger for more bases to destroy and people to kill

BUBBA LIVES AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

in the first match, something was wrong with some of the HQ men
while the outcome would've been the same,
lineage has idled the sof brain

in the second match, HQ's team B, while reuniting the legendary team BUBBA, (laugh here) for some reason just could not keep the momentum going and quarter way through the game we lost the lead and never got it back

big ups to destroyer, I have now seen his skill

I still feel that the west is skilled
but there are other things that must be considered

and in the end the east won both times
that is what counts

big ups to hellfire and his RS squad
your team have skill
I like the fact that you men move in a serious way
but you are flanked too easy
let us wait and see if HQ will meet your challenge

I don't like the fact that there is no game where both sides are fairly equal
either you don't play it or we don't play it enough
so the competition still sucks
maybe in RS......

but we have real men who like to play CoD
some of our expedition sweat bus since there was no good CoD

anyway,

PC Gaming / who is the best, east or the west ?

NEITHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


when I went down to the new SNS! and met the people who I enteract with on the forums I discovered two very annoying facts

the first, east men play too much sof and as a result their best are on a level that just about every west man can't compete with, with very few exceptions

the second, east men play too much sof and as a result their skills in many other games on the PC somewhat lack, with some exceptions

the resulting stalemate, in that east will dominate sof and the west will dominate quite a few games, is what frustrates me

another thing that a wise moderator told me after that day is that, generally speaking, west men aren't serious about gaming, and I agree with this totally
only for the skill of our best can we not suck; but when the east no longer has problems with availability of games who knows ?

basically you don't see the skill of the west at the highest level, but it is there in many games, and you only see the skill of the east at the highest level in a handful of computer games

because of this, the competition between the two "sides" sucks and there is no clear claim as to who is better

Anime / Has anyone ever heard of Flame of Recca

a very bad anime, 42 episodes long, the last thiry or so is one big tournement with a new battle each episode (no talking about the eventual battle for 3 episodes to have it finish in one hit)

basically without giving away the story
it is about the weapons of a long dead ninja clan and is centered around the last 2 decendents of the clan leader who battle over control of the weapons
the weapons range to enchanted conventional weapons to orbs which grant incredible abilites (stuff you have never seen anywhere else, boy japanese men have real time to think up this stuff)
but the decendants of the clan leaders don't use weapons
in there arm lives a "flame" which even has an "avatar" (yes a physical form to represent itself)

the beauty of the anime cannot be expressed without giving away key plot events but it is not short of action (about 20 to 30 tournament battles, one new opponent for each battle.......wink wink)

I will try to get copies to HQ if possible but I promise nothing

PC Gaming / Savage the most serious game

while Sof is the national game of TnT and there are many good fps and strategy games in the Gatt GL libraries none are as serious as the combined fps/rts hybrid, Savage, set in a fantasy world, which has commanders directing real life men in a strategy game while their team has a whole enemy base to assault and DESTROY, not just a flag to steal or a respawn location to control

the game does suck for newbies, the fps side has as much melee as shooting if not more and to really enjoy the game you must have a serious team and serious competition otherwise the complexity of the hybrid nature of the game would detract from the gaming experience

also there is no "deathmatch" mode; there can only be two teams and only the most serious men can play by themselves since one must command a base and assault as there are no combat units for a commander to build(here I bow to Baego for his superior? talent)
there are only real men behind the combat (literally)

it is not a game to just pick up and play just so and it may not be for most Gatt men, but if you ever get the chance to experience a real serious match among the top savage players you will see why I call it the most serious (though perhaps not the best) game in Gatt today and games of the fps/rts hybrid may be the future of multiplayer (team) games


all I can say now is BUBBA WANTS HIS SAVAGE BACK DAMMIT !
