Ok i know this aint a big anime like bleach and naruto but i thought it deserved its own thread as it is one addictive anime and i guarantee u will get hooked if you watch it. Im only at episode 11 atm but im getting there its a relativly new anime based on manga only 21 eps atm i think. Oh and btw there is a DN movie not just an animation an actual movie with real people wtf.

Yes!! I recently start watchin d anime as well, and as somebody rightly said in another thread, when u see the things L and Light do you flip backward and shout WDMC (I don't know if in that order, but somethin like dat)
Just watch episode 22 last night, and it just gettin better and better. That trap they about to spring (lol makin sure not to drop any spoilers this time) lookin to be reall badd!

yuh like the reaction on Light face when kira 2 meet im and let the bomb shell go?(as cloudy as possible so it no spoil it for no one)

hoss would you believe i sit down and watch that in RAW and actually went to a online translator to figure out what going on...when i realize...i was like..BWAHAHAHA

but in all seriousness this series mad...it just have suspense like wow, right now i have to say Misa and L is meh two favorite characters, L - cuz he is ah boss, and Misa cuz she too cute (my gf actually has the spitting image of the get up she wears in the opening theme from 20 (or is it 19:S))

oh btw the official site for death note is www.deathnote.tv u get episodes first there but recently they removed download links and replaced them with links to youtube to watch episode which i think is a complete waste of time. Youtube has many purposes but as for watching anime it lowers quality greatly and it loses the feel of a death note. BTW nice avatar ryuk look evil though.

http://www.deathnotes.net/ has full episodes in good quality too and i do have flv player and such to download youtube vidz but quality sucks and i cant watch death note on such low quality.

i started watching it about 2 weeks ago, the anime is probably one of the best i have ever seen. Everything is to do With Light's And L's intelligence which makes for a great suspence thing. The First opening for the anime is also pretty damn good one of the few anime openings that i realllllly like. lol.

OMG At first i thought Kira/Light was smart but now I am trying to figure out how smart or stupid he is. How The hell can he give up the death note

? WTF he has to have some kind of plan to get it back but how on earth can he just.... Grrrr.

OMFG lol why how .... I dont understand lights plan if he had one giving Misa's Death Note to some business executive. and with is memory gone the only way i can see his actual plan working is with the help of Rem and/or Ryuk but Ryuk doesnt seem like the type to help ( unless hes really bored or wants apples

LOL well i have the manga but i not read it b/c i doh want to spoil the anime.

light isnt stupid horse, he knew that by giving up the note he would lose all memories and would therefore be able to convince everyone, and confuse L, about the possibility of him being Kira, also, even if he is found to be kira there is no physical evidence pointing to him, only a profile and some circumstantial, which cannot hold itself up in court.

the giving of misa's note to the CEO guy was a diversion, so that the killings would continue even if Kira/Light wasnt doing them, further solidifing his position as NOT Kira.

However, i dont think he was counting on L to be as clever, or rather as stubborn.

Ok i understand that part but i still dont believe he is the kind of person that would give up the death note without retrieving it somehow. So if i am right and is going to get it back i cant see how its possible, his plan is so difficult to understand if this is the case.
