Yes it does!!!!

with no real copitition from amd intel can start with the whole presshot netburst crap all over.

next year they will start 32nm chip making us buy new mobos all over again, bet ya these chips won't be much better than what we have now and will cost more due to lack of concern from amd.

in short we're gonna get screwed

lets also not mention ms and windows vista me.

That whole X48 business is just an example of seeming 'complacency' on Intel's part.
Obviously, they thought it would have been accepted wholeheartedly as a new part,
or else they would not have named it so. A simple FSB change does not a 'new' chipset make.

Oh well, hopefully the masses did not take this chain up and abandon their X38 for the X48,
which shows next to no gain in performance across the board.
