Talk about intel niceness. An intel quad is definitely the way to go with those insane prices.

This is gonna be interesting, very interesting for the future. I see intel screaming at AMD "THIS! IS! SPARTAAAA!" the wtf pwns them with another price cut lol

Not quite, the spartans were grossly out numbered and lacked the variety of technology that the persians had. Also Persia DID eventually conquer them... so i'd lean to say AMD are the spartans and Intel are the Persians. :p

Only to lose after and suffer 100+ years under Persian rule. So I re-iterate that AMD is more akin to Spartans, as you could consider the Hammer aka Athlon 64 line of AMD products the Small Spartan Victory which only angered the Persians and they returned with a more powerful force (Core 2/Nehalem) to destroy and enslave them XD

Well, as predicted, Intel officially drops those CPU prices.

NGW, it looks like that elusive 'cheap' 3 GHz quad-core may actually become a reality in 2009.

So now it makes no sense upgrading to Corei7 just yet (for me at least) as the total
cost overhead just cannot be justified in the face of these CPU prices.

So everyone who spent all that money on Corei7 parts may have just wasted their money,
as the bang for buck has been all but negated by these price cuts.

hmmm damn, that q9650 price is indeed yummy... phenom II prolly needs to change its panty right now. This definitely is a sweet year to build a new pc..lol.
