The funniest anime i ever saw was full metal panic fumoffu. I want to know what other funny anime you guys saw so that i might see it as well.

Just got finished with Azumanga Daioh, one of my favorite series period. The last funny anime I watched before that was GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka. 26 and 43 episodes respectively. I'm currently dl'in Sumomomo momomo as well, that looks to be pretty good.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Miami Guns. That anime is just over-the-top funny.

There was also another one about a mermaid that saved a boy and her father was the underwater mafia boss but I can't remember the name now. Anyway it's great so check it out.

Trigun was good comedy with some solid action and even tear jerking drama.

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu was the funniest thing i've seen out of Japan in some time. followed closely by Miami Guns, Desert Punk and of course GTO.

I thought the first few opening eps of Soul Eater was hilarious. the introduction of the characters were just too funny. One man could real cut@ss but is a obsessive compulsive, next fella have a huge ego (Naruto style) and the other bussout a Soul Resonance and trip, miss and almost kill Black Star (that part i was rolling in the floor with)

Black Star dive out the way like "WTMC!!!!!"

Any of u ever watched Betterman. Yeah i know strange name , it deals with supernatural stuff and has it's comedic moments like in nearly every episode.

beyond the shadow of a doubt, it must be Gintama. They had one serious arc that lasted about 10 eisodes, but when straight back into the comedy better than beofre. Nothing else that I see can even run with Gintama. it's hard-boiled comedy!!
