THERE IS OFTEN a product that as soon as you see it, you know it is the best product of the show you are at. This CeBit, the one that made me sit up and take notice was the Thermaltake Level 10 case, by far the best thing at the show.

The case is being kept under wraps at the Thermaltake booth, but if you act quickly when the PR folk are not looking, you can get a glimpse of the next big thing in cases. Just watch out for the 'no photos' sign, it is really reflective and screws up pictures.

If you think the Level 10 looks good from the side, look at it from the front. Have you ever seen anything that looks like this? Anything close? All I can say is wow. Wow, and damn nice.

Thin and beautiful

The idea behind it was to break up the case into it's elements, packaging those in a new and elegant form factor. Unless you are blind, you will see that they hit both marks dead on. Thermaltake did right in a way that very few companies do any more, and the results stood out as a clear best in the show.

Other than that, they won't say much, this is just a sneak preview. It will be a very limited edition case meant to promote their 10th anniversary, and I think it will do that well. The official unveiling is at Computex in a couple of months, so look for specs then. When it comes out, there won't be many, and it will probably be very expensive. And worth every cent. The line starts behind me. µ

LOL...I could sell my other two rigs plus my main rig's Antec 1200, but nah, no case upgrades for a while.

I DO want to change my LAN-party rig's case to an Antec Skeleton though.

Good friggin heavens @ that price. It certainly is a fresh new concept, but they would never get my money for that. Thas money for 2 netbooks right there.

I can just see the dust settling all over that.....in the curves etc. Looks like it will be more surface area to keep dust free and for the price hell naww!!!

the dust will be super easy to clean off, a nice lil rag every week and you good
and cleaning the components again will be easier and super breezier

Crixx has got a point there. You could easily clean this with all the covers closed.
I'm sure there are lots of dust filters around the mobo area. I like the fact that
its sectional, so none of the heat from one section will add to another.

Some people say its 'ugly', but all I see is genius.

bloody hell... 700 big boys... wayz.. it's a nice case, i like it, i really do, but 700 dollars yo? lol no thanks.. i wonder how much it will cost if they really do replace and remake some of the parts with plastic...

Now I don't mean to necro, but this is somewhat related.

For the rest of us, who can't afford to blow $700 US on a case, can look into TT's more typical variation, the Level 10 gt. It's going at about $256 US on Amazon (280 MSRP)...still expensive, but there are some features in there that I do like.

tbh it's not the prettiest case so i'm figuring chris isn't pleased by the aesthetics XD, however from a functional and nerd point of view, we like ugly ish, damn thing looks like a transformer XD

agreed the case is not the most aesthetically pleasing, but i was looking @ the HAF X for a case... which isnt a beauty either, but functionality is where this case shines yes.

wonder if the 50USD extra worth it
