i know.*slaps head*
i never rock a raid fuh home.. i just may, eventually.. but i still like to have my ish backed up off site ( okay. just on a desk opposite the pc LOL) but seeing that a tape drive will be overkill, i still feel safer with the optical

Cpt stings "Terafabulous" and runs*

Why not use external drives...they're not that much more expensive than their internal counterparts. That's all im willing to buy these days as my pc is already crammed with 3 drives...not to mention externals add to the convenience factor and put less strain on your PSU...and can be turned on only when needed. Did I say they are cheap?

Oh I hate optical media. The only time I wanna see a cd is my original media and in my deck and even then, is flash based media ftw. I have a bunch of dvd's that cant read the data at the edges....which in most cases render the whole damn disc useless.
