Yeah, elimination format. They fight for a fight contract with the UFC.
If you're going to get it I'd recommend starting with season 1, then 2, then 5. Those imo are the best three and had the most talent on them.

The man is a beast in the ring but a real gentleman outside the octagon.

The best example, he took his paycheck from a fight and put it into an account and told the bank to pay everything owed by his parents from that account. He did not want them to have to spend a cent of their own money on mortgage, or loans or anything.

Man is a role model true and through.

As much as I'd like to hate on Brock for being classless and generally for having been in WWE, no rational observer can dispute his talent or the threat he represents.

Brock is still very green and without a doubt his stand up has a long way to go but there's no disputing his other attributes. He is BIG guy who maintains a lot of athleticism for his size. He also has a great deal of power in his hands, even if he isn't the most technical striker. Finally there's no denying his wrestling ability. The guy was an NCAA Division 1 champion and his record in college wrestling was 106-5. There aren't a lot of people in MMA that have better wrestling creds than that. Only Matt Lindland, maybe Koscheck.

Frankly I don't really think Brock can beat Fedor but he is a legit challenger. His total package isn't something Fedor has faced to date.
I don't think Brock is invincible in the UFC HW div either. I think Carwin could give him a good match but the idea that Cro Cop is going to be beating him is ridiculous.

Look at crocops mma record + his kick boxing record.
He has losses, few of them though and one of his biggest matches was lasting to a decision against Fedor. That was an epic battle too!

And crocop is also a big guy. and technical and i could see him making Brock tap.

I think thats obviously where Brock lacks greatly. He has little or no jujitsu skill and hes pretty aggressive, things that get you all tangled up and slapping mat hard in the mma world.

I honestly was a big fan of kimbo till he got beat so easily.
and ive never been a fan of brock and his loss to Mir was what i expected of him in mma.

Hes very cocky about his win against Mir but he did lose previously..

And that couture win.. steups. lets not even go there.

Id loveeeeeeeeeee to see him fight nog and crocop, before i deem him anywhere near worthy of Fedor.

Why not look at Cro Cop's RECENT record. As in since winning the PRIDE OW GP.

Came into the UFC
Beat a can
Got KTFO by Gonzaga
Lost to Kongo
Left UFC, DREAMbound
Beat a can
Beat HMC (yea?)
NC against Overeem (CC was getting owned tho)
Back to UFC
Beat Al-Turk by poking him in the eye

Sorry wut? That is mediocre. He is not even worthy of a title shot. Let's see how he does against Dos Santos. The Cro Cop of the past few years is not a top ten fighter. I agree, if the old 2006 Cro Cop came to fight he could conceivably KO Brock.
But not sub him. Even making such a statement either demonstrates blatant trolling or no knowledge of MMA. Cro Cop has subbed ONE person in a career exceeding 30 matches. Brock has developed to the point that even Mir can't sub him, in fact Mir got flat out owned on the ground.

If Cro Cop fought Brock I'd expect Brock to take him down and beat the hell out of him. If Cro Cop couldn't even defend TD against Overeem how's he going to defend Lesnar?

That was something. I didn't think there was anyone fighting at 205 that could make Forrest Griffin look like a third rate fighter. Even Machida's dominance of Rashad didn't necessarily have Rashad looking BAD. But what Anderson did to Forrest was embarrassing. Forrest is still one of my faves but damn...Anderson reminded me of Roy Jones Jr.

Forrest is no new comer to the ring, for a man from a lower weight class to rough him up like that. Damn.

From the Strikeforce card last night. I'm not gonna lie. Mousasi is freakin awesome. I was actually loling at his calm expression, looking like he just wanted to go home. Really messed up that M-1 schemed him out of going to the UFC. I hope he wins the Superhulk GP.

The local MMA scene is geared too much toward making money rather than establishing a stable community and recognition nationwide. The payoffs haven't changed much from the time they started the CFC series of tournaments till now. Pretty sad.

Nice to see Keron being himself.

Nothing near a kosoto gake to be seen there, neither a kesa gatame. Am I watching the wrong fight here?
