Best Gaming CPU for the Money (Tom's Hardware)
« Reply #4 on: October 13, 2009, 01:25:19 PM »
You are reading right, we're already familiar with the gatt's Best Gaming Cards for the Money but it gets better. Seems Tom's Hardware also has a CPU equivalent, this I think will be an invaluable addition to the forums thus without further ado:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gaming-cpu,2437-2.html

Point to note AMD ownz the entire sub 200USD domain with Intel being honourably mentioned once or twice. As expected Core i5 and Core i7 920 and above take the higher echelon (read 200USD +).

At $100 US, the choice is clear...or is it?  Tom's Hardware investigates.

Shame this thread isn't as maintained as the GPU thread. All the same and after a ridiculously long hiatus, the Nov Ed.

Nice to see AMD ruling the budget roost and well Intel pwning the performance crown. These are things we all know and accept ftw.
