I think she was actually referring to the food item itself. I didn't catch any implied racism (in that particular statement).

All I hadda say is as entertaining as Beyonce's palancing would've been, the performances are about the only saving grace that I gather existed. At the very least, Price kept it real. I'm no big Rachel Price fan but I'm a groupie for brutal honesty. The opinion of certain "paler hues" does carry more weight in this society than that of those with a more chocolate tone. Had a black man kicked down the doubles cart, I think security would've been on him like white on rice and a glass of milk on a paper plate in a snowstorm (but THAT is ANOTHER story).

Even beyond that, I always notice how Trinis like to fight friends with ppl who DON'T like them as well as treat our own like crap. How much doubles yuh feel Beyonce eat? Did her entourage ever see bharra? Jay-Z probably texting her back right now asking "WTF is 'corn soup'?" Feel free to file yourselves under "Optimistic Trinis who expected 5-star treatment from a company who has been practicing proctology on this nation for YEARS". Worse yet, we as a nation actually STAND for such bullshit.

My answer: If Lara was acting on behalf of TSTT, then Lara and TSTT are one and the same in terms of culpability. If you exhibit EPIC failure on your boss' time and dime in the public eye, who'll get de bad press: YOU or your company? That sounds like basic PR to me i.e. You represent your company. You win, they look good. You fail, they suck.

Did Lara act on his own or with TSTT backing/blessing?
