Price is exactly where I expected it to be...300-350 US.  Thing is...it now makes absolutely
no sense to purchase a GTX 480, now that this card outclasses it for less money.

Aint technology grand?  :)

I think they trying to do away with the 480.

So far the reviews saying it just a bit faster than the 480's,and it bets out the new amd card by far .

Looks like I'll be getting  a 570 instead of  2 460's.

Yip, 570 is undeniably a solid upgrade coming from your current setup.

I really wanna justify getting two of those cards for sli but I cant.

Think i'll wait to see what the 560's look like when they drop.

I'd say wait and let the 560 or whatever the hell they'll call it comes out so that the price will be ripe for the picking of the 570.

I think I holding out on the 460 to see what the others have to offer, wattage may cause me to settle with the 460 if anything.....

My 260 core 216 is doing quite fine without even overclocking it....

Amen to that. On the bright side for Nvidia, they seem to have been really concentrating on reducing the tdp on their cards and so far they have more or less equalled AMD in that respect. GG, now people can focus on what really matters; getting the best performing part that fits their price bracket.

Upcoming dual-GPU monster from Nvidia/eVGA...

Look at that...three REGULAR-@SS DVI monitor outputs.  Triple-monitor gaming without the need for a stupid adapter.

Take THAT AMD.

Study it took 2 GPUs to do it Arc... the only thing that is good is the return of a dual GPU card from Nvidia, otherwise tho, how you achieving triple monitor goodness on a budget? Take that Nvidia XD

Who said anything about 'budget'?

In any case, you have to pelt out thousands for 3 or more monitors anyway,
but now you can use any 3 monitors with regular-@$$ DVI inputs to do it.  The fact that
it's dual-GPU is moot.  It's on a single PCB, and it's using ONE slot (two spaces)
on your motherboard...so what's the problem here?

If you can lift your AMD shades for a moment, you can see the win here.  :laughing7:

I'm not wearing any, I just didn't see how triple monitors was anything special and seeing as you said take that I found it hard to qualify or quantify the boast XD

If you said Nvidia now is the undisputed single card performance king... take that AMD

Then i would have been able to agree :p
