thanks for saving me the trouble ninja :)

anyway to recap the old the questions on the old board

Is it true that Sakura trained under Dan Hibiki for a short period of time?

Dan believe's he is Sakura's teacher. However according to Blanka's Alpha 3 Ending Sakura doesnt even realize she's Dan's Student. She realizes Dan is an adult and is multilingual so she's basically using him to find Ryu.

is it true that ryu never knew his father....................and if so, ive many speculations about this, could akuma be ryu's father

Akuma is NOT Ryu's father , he didnt even know Ryu existed until that fateful when he killed Gouken. Ryu doesn't know his parents as he was very very young when Gouken became his teacher.

Can you tell us the proper story of when Akuma and Ryu fought?

Ever since Akuma unlocked the secrets of the killing arts of Ansatsuken ( Assassin's Fist, Ryu and Ken practice a non-lethal form of this) he began his search for a worthy opponent . Firstly he tested his brother Gouken and in the process learned of Ryu and Ken's existance. However he soon realized that they could not stand up to him so he let them be. Enter Gen , who also knows some of the Ansatsuken fighting style. Gen hears about Akuma and also hears rumours of the Shun Goku Satsu technique , Gen is dying and decides to seek out Akuma to have one final battle. He finds Akuma on his island of Goukentou. The two battle it out (i'm not sure who won , although they did clash again in alpha 3) After this battle Akuma was weakened . Incidently Ryu found Akuma and fought him. During the fight Akuma noticed the Satsu no Hadou within Ryu, he concedes and tells Ryu about it. He wants it to awaken within Ryu, and tells Ryu to find him after it does so they can truly see who is more powerful.  As of Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike they have yet to cross paths again.  However in Japan a book called Ryu Final states that Ryu and Akuma cross paths after 3rd Strike and Ryu kills Akuma . However this is not part of the official storyline

Here's something lots of SF fans don't know.

What does the sign on Akuma's back mean?
Consciousness yearn to kill
To re-affirm the will,
Zealous I burn the drill
Forging, I mould the skill.

Ryu developed the move somewhere between SF2 and SF3 ( how and when he did this exactly is not known). The word Shin means true so that would imply that this is the Ultimate Dragon Punch ( heh salt for Ken)

Who seriously is the better fighter, Ken or Ryu. NO doubt Ryu is stronger than Ken, but it is always said that Ken has the POTENTIAL to be the greatest, YA DI YA DI YA. So once and for all, answer it!

Grand Master and God of Fist make sense but that heaven thing just isn't sensible.

I copy and pasted this interepretation of the symbol from an Xmen vs Street Fighter Akuma FAQ written by Doug Trueman.  I have the books for referrance and looked it up myself.  Quite interesting.

>>>What that damn symbol means<<<

I've gotten about a billion responses concerning Akuma's symbol.
What I originally said, and what most people confirmed, was this:
"Sky", "Heaven" and my favorite, "Invincibility."
HOWEVER, Paul J. Casiero wrote me a lengthy explanation, which to
my mind, is the best interpretation by far, and it has academic backing.
Kudos to Paul:
"It can be interpreted to mean "10"  My source of this information is
"The Grandmasters book of Ninja training" by Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi. Page
47: 'Now in Japanese Buddhism, the figure 9 was the highest of all, in
gambling too, the strongest.  The combinations kuppin (9 and 1) and
shippin (4 and 1) however, were stronger.  If 9 and 1 are added, you
get 10 of course, and this sum was considered the highest number of
all.  There was also a saying related to this, "Even after a 9, never
a 10," which had several interpretations, including ideas like,
"Don't go to far,"  "Do not teach the most extreme methods," and
"Even in victory, do not kill or maim an opponent.'
This sounds like the perfect insperation for the symbol to be put on
Akuma's back by Capcom."

Ken has natural ability but take into consideration that he's a family man now.On top of that he mostly enters north american tournaments the only exception being the street fighter tourneys. In short he can't dedicate his life to training like Ryu and thus cannot ever surpass him.
Ryu trains 24/7 and  fights opponents from all over the globe on a regular basis. Thus gaining a much wider understanding of the martial arts and its many styles and techniques. You think he slouches off? Hell no!! He worked his @$$ off to get to the level he is at right now.Which is why Ken is no longer his equal in fighting skill and strength.

In short natural ability is nothing if its wasted .If Ken could dedicate his life to training he could really unlock some serious power.

eg. the flaming shoryuken

He actually got a bit jealous of Ryu and trained hard to perfect his shoryuken thus resulting in flame on his fist.

I think Ken is the star, cuz ppl always biggin him up and something does always happen to Ken and they does focus on him sometimes.

This is like asking who is the star of Rourini Kenshin. I know men go jump and say Kenshi, but Kenshi is not better than Hiko Sujirou(clearly we know this). So why is he the star? Because he has the potential to be the best YA DI YA DI YA... So this is why i wanna know between Ryu and Ken / Hiko and Kenshi, who is the star of the show... Use any explantation u want ( i mean, be it alpha or the street fighter movie or whatever)

Ryu was the star

Then in Sf3 I believe they made Alex the main character but fans never really considered him to be the star.

Ryu was and always will be the Street Fighter mascot
