Somebody should invest some time in sourcing or making better props. Like a guy I read about a while back who made a War Machine costume shortly before Ironman 2. It was like 90% accurate. Seeing something like that here would be great!

Just came back from CC8. OMFG THIS MOVIE JUS WETTTT!!! Perfect blend of comedy and action. 10 outta 10 from me. As for the nitpick Wyatt...

Yeah it was out of character for Hulk, but I think they did it to show just how much control Banner had over him. What the should have done was have Thor start flying, say he won't make it in time, then have Hulk whip past him full speed to catch him.

Saw it in globe, was in the uproar at the good parts. Nothing under 720p torrent to see it again, W00t!
Waitng to see where the Capt. America story goes from this and to see the premise for Avengers 2 ( And yes, there will be a part two, he he he...) Drools ~~~~~~

yeah boy wyatt.. i now fully understand why people %$*&^ hate michael bay, his fight scenes are so big you cant focus on the awesome shit going on right infront of you.
Wheedon rocked it. Awesome movie, lived up to the hype, some great laughs. great action

It was shot better, momentum of the finale wasn't broken up, no annoying characters (In TF I couldn't care less if Sam and his friends died or not because they were so annoying), better choreography etc. etc. etc. I can go on and on. Well at least now Bay can't get away with his same old crap now.

The Expendables is an old school action flick whereas The Avengers is a big effects laden movie so they shouldn't be compared.  Thas like going to watch Prometheus and comparing it to 21 Jump Street.

I know what Mez means, Expendables and The Avengers caters to the same crowd.

I thought the exact thing afterwards.....like Avengers raised the bar so high, it is going to be real stress for Expendables to deliver on the goods. Pretty much any action movie for the rest of the year runs the risk of being anti-climatic. lol

Hats off to Whedon yes. Job Well (Perfectly) Done.

Same crowds yes but we expect different things from them.

For The Avengers you go expecting the big cgi  and effects spectacle and with The Expendables you go for the old fashioned actioner. When you set your expectations accordingly disappoint is a non issue lol.

action (sci fi, fantasy, kick up, time piece, adventure, etc...)
comedy
horror
drama

and unless dragged by the misses I only go to the silverscreen for the action flicks.

both Avengers and Expendables falling in the same action group for me.

Think about this. We only in May, and already have such a strong contender for Movie of the Year 2012. lol

ok so the "bad guy" shown at the end during the credits is Thanos ( I rel thought it was darkside from dc but was confused about the dc thing, think I read somewhere he was inspired by the dc character)

Thanos has this sort of ultimate weapon called the infinity gauntlet that let's you control the universe or something to that effect and this gauntlet was in Thor's movie as an Easter egg. It was one of the artifacts where the destroyer was safeguarding stuff. When the initial ice giants tried to steal their magic blue box back and the destroyer killed them you caught a glimpse of it.

Marvel apparently announced a couple of the items located in that vault and they all had significant meaning to marvel fans with a lot of big characters and alluding to possible future movies.

Comicbook fans would know the difference mostly.

Most ppl wouldn't have made the connections so it's good you pointed them out. Thanos is one of the most powerful villains they ever faced and handed their ass to them many times so expect the sequel to be even more insane.
