Is it just me, or are the animated movies better than the live action?

Pity they don't receive as much pomp and circumstance.

It isn't you at all. DC animated has always brought a standard that is well above its live action counterparts. My brother and I once did a ranking between DC and Marvel and their offerings (Movies, Animated Movies, TV Series, Animated TV Series, Comics) and DC came out the victor (in our opinion) thanks to the Batman animated movies and of course Young Justice (which went head to head with Avengers EMH). And thus far I have not seen 1 marvel animated movie that came anywhere near the quality of the movies that DC puts out (that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them though). We tried to be as impartial as possible, but when it comes down to it, I am just a Batman Fanboy.

Ok, I watched both movies yesterday. And they kick all kinda a$$. I'd say they're just as good as Under the Red Hood. Was weird though seeing certain characters all old..... and fat. Lol

Yep.  Panel for shot adaptation of the original graphic novel.

Beautifully animated, and great voice work.  No one beats Conroy, but Peter Weller did an ADMIRABLE job.

A perfect 10 in my book.



...and yes...DC animated features are head and shoulders above their Marvel counterparts.
