Super PI on a 3.6GHz P4 (Presc0tt)
« on: October 26, 2004, 12:30:24 AM »
Though this would be the easiest thing to fake its no joke I tested this on a Dell Workstation in UWi RTSG in Engineering, in case the image doesn't show up it calculated 1M in 36secs, the specs are 3.6GHz P4, 1GB DDR2 533MHz, 915G chipset I think (PCI express), X300 and a SATA HD.

not that great considering 3.6 is the fastest intel runs@ [ is it? not 100% sure] AMD64 3200 doing 38 easy , i'm sure a 3800 or 4000 will make the P4 cry .
AMDs have always been better at integer  crunching, like ATI has always been better at shading .

"Prescotts are the king of SuperPi so if you want the best score the Prescott is for you"

Thats why that 3.6 scored so high compared to my o/ced baby.

My NW P4 is most definitely faster than that ddr2 pressie.

Notice 1M is exactly the size of L2 cache of the Pressie.

Try running other non 1M SuperPi runs on that if you can.
