yeah shivadee had mentioned the DLC to me a while back, i hear it includes some cool vehicles. I was a fan of the first Forza btw.

I actually played a bit of Midnight Club LA recently and i thought it was pretty cool, i like the open environments.

Next question is, what about headsets... should i stick with the microsoft one or by like a plantronics or something?

From experience, I find that the headset that comes with the 360 is a bit flimsy, don't get me wrong, it works perfectly, but I bought the 360 wireless headset which works great for me. Its up to the individual on preference. If you plan on using a fight pad for SF IV perhaps the wireless headset is the way to go..just my $.02

agree with the wireless headset and use the microsoft one no thrid parties of any kind, it also only has about a 10ft range, eh no biggie. But the regular wired one is fine and you dont have to charge it, runs off the 360 controlers power. Good idea to buy rechargables for the 360...better to have 8 rechargables (if you have 2 controlers) or 4 if you have 1 so you always have a charged set of batteries when you  need. Reg batteries run down realllllllllly fast on the 360 esp. with rumble on.

Trinidad and 'reasonable price' is an oxymoron.  You wont find a new Xbox 360 for anything close to resonable
in this place.  Better to import it yourself.  Even with all freight/Customs charges, it will still be less than what
most stores would charge for it here.  If you can get someone coming in to bring it for you, even better.

I refuse to buy a console in Trinidad because of the ridiculous pricing.

Was now about to post the same thing. I guess everyone's definition of "reasonable" is dfferent tho, hence the markup from the local sellers :p

40% of the value so a $200 US 360 should have $80 US or so in duties.

I paid 40% when I brought in my old Elite...

About the pricing... Too true fellas, too true. I was feeling just like you, then I did the math and asked myself if it's really worth all the hassle. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I want to bring in a pro shouldn't it cost:

$299 = $1884 TT
+ 20% = $376 TT
+ 15% = $339 TT

Total: $2599 TT + what ever freight is.

I've been told that there's a place in town that has the pro for around $2650 (without the 2 bonus games, surprise surprise). Now granted they probably aren't paying duties to bring it in, but that doesn't help me as I'm going to have to pay the duties. So, would you guys say $2650 is still too much?

I wouldn't say you can't get a console locally @ a good price. I bought all of my consoles from JK, granted I know the owner personally but still, the pricing wasn't that bad and I liked the peace of mind knowing if anything went wrong, could send it back to him for warranty/repair.

Agreed, I could have saved a few dollars doing the import but not enough to offset the peace of mind of local support.

Even bought my recent ps3/sf4 from them.

lol, arc, that simply means I don't expect a price gouge from the man.

Remember, he is running a business.

Like every other business out there. It is cheaper to buy a car, tv, designer clothes, *insert commodity here*, etc... from the internet.

The reason we don't buy 95% of everything online is because of convenience, confidence in the vendor and warranty/support.

Again, I'm not saying you won't get it 10% cheaper if you go online but don't write off local game shops completely out of consideration.

They're not all trying to ream us a knew one with some overridiculous outlandish pricing schema.
