mobile suits were supposed to technologically advance war. in the series, they still had tanks, and planes and the like, but mobile suits did more damage and they were more efficient, being more similar to human appearance than a tank or a plane.

as to why the gundams were created, well that depends upon the series. in gundam wing, they were created by the colonies in an act of rebellion against the earth's military.

and the first time i saw gundam wing, i didn't understand it either.

it's an opinion, i dont think that people who criticize stuff they have no idea about know how pointless it is to write stupid crap like "gundam wing = balls".

as if they are the first person to have an opinion, as if anyone gives a crap.

it just goes to show that mankind has yet to evolve from it's own state of ignorance in which everything that must be dred is left to the imagination of one person and one person alone.

i think the fact of gundam wing being dred is because of the robot fightin and such but the storyline to me is kinda crappy

yes, it is. and tell me, what is the point of u posting it? It serves no purpose in this thread. Battousai asked why people like it, not for someone to come in and say "UGGh, gundam = balls" but i guess if ya gotta get gold, then ya gotta get gold, right?

well the reason that series like Gumdam and Macross get done over and over is cause they often focus more on off-action things rather than just a NGE creature of the day. they have very moving storylines and often have better directors and musical scores (ppl are more willing to invest in them). i guess thats why they are good. to be honest im not too gundam crazy its ok but the some times the stories get a bit lazy. i prefer macross more.

The story for Gundam Wing has alot of gaps and tends to be non-linear at some points but I like it besically for the characters, the gundam designs and the action...It comes like the reason why you like shodow skill which I found very awesome not for the story line but for the character detail, and the action
