The California-based Sammy Studios broke away from its parent, Sammy Corp., to become its own independent development studio. Sammy Corp. was planning to shut the studio down, but president and CEO John Rowe lead a group of investors in buying it and its properties from Sammy. The company will now be called High Moon Studios. They will finish working on Darkwatch, for which they are shopping for a publisher.
