I would prefer a new Idea but companys know sequels are safe so thats what they would go with

is not just companies that know seuels are safe

people love franchises and brand recognition

mario will always be ah dan

yuh want nintendo throw way mario?

buh new ideas should rise up upon the strength of the old.

I have know clue i guess it doesn't make a difference because a new idea could be rubbish and a sequel could be filth or vice versa

it alwayz good to have new ideas.......but mostof them suck
however it is safer to go wit sequels but most of the time ppl mess it up
so in the end,........it depends

if i had to pick it is the new ideas cuz itz alwayz good to have a breath os fresh air other than bein suffocated by the old gettin boreder and boreder wit the same close storyline of a sequel

silent hill 2 and 3 are exceptions as well as soul caliber 2
really.....if u look at ther stats their are only a few really good sequels out there that made it!

you're looking at the bad part of sequels and the good part of new games i voted new ideas too but that's an unfair comparison

that is a tough choice
there must be new ideas or the gaming industry wouldnt progress
but sequels back up the original ideas to make them more enjoyable
i would really have to think about this before i vote

i would say both are just as important
cuz the sequel carries u deeper into the origin of the first story
and it always good to have new ideas from time to time
